Feh. "Judge not lest you be judged" is horribly taken out of context and abused as a result. Ok, let's get this one point quite clear: in Christian religion, ALL people will be judged by God at some point, so "judge not lest you be judged" is ridiculous (and not the context) since you will inevitably be judged anyway. Heck, you think all those proscriptions and rules leads one to making NO judgment calls? Nonsense!
BTW, the actual meaning of "judge not lest ye be judged" is exactly what Christianti described: if you judge someone else, then don't be surprised if they judge you in return.

Bearing false witness is the more serious accusation. In fact, I would argue that such a comment as "God is not happy with you" is in fact a breach of "taking the Lord's name in vain." Why? Think about vanity and what it means. Is it more vain to say "Oh, God!" as a curse word or to presume that you know what God is thinking and that you can go about condemning people in His name? ... Ooops! I guess I just blurted out why I'll never be a Catholic! Ah well...

Christians should not be concerned with "the way you are", but with your actions.

If you are behaving in an ungodly manner, and they simply point this out, how is that judgemental or bearing false witness?

The truth is that all human beings fall short of perfection. We all sin from time to time. True Christians are supposed to show non-Christians the right way, and share the truth of the gospel.

If you profess to be a Christian, yet are not behaving like one, then we are bound to inform you of that fact, in an effort to bring you back into fellowship.

If you persist in your sin, we are really not supposed to have dealings with you. We are to hand it over to God, and pray that your eyes are opened so you can see the sin in your life for yourself, and take appropriate corrective actions.

God loves eveyone, no matter how you are. I think they probably are just trying to help you take the path toward of living more Christian-like. God does want us to do things as not harming your body, etc...And God may not be happy with the way you are living, but your the only one that can change that, you don't need others telling you anything. He who that is without sin cast the first stone. God Bless and Good Luck.

And who keeps telling you this? Its almost like kick the cat syndrome. If they're unhappy then you must be made unhappy too. Just another form of bullying. Just live your life exactly the way it feels right. If its right then it can't be wrong can it? Life is only wrong if others make you feel it is. What matters is how YOU feel it is. I wonder sometimes, if there is a Heaven and Hell, the only people going to Hell are the ones who refused to live in Heaven. Both of which are on Earth.

It is definitely not bearing False Witness. For that, they'd have to say God said. Which they don't. It is only a judgmental statement on their part.

Next time anyone says that to you, just say.........
God is not happy with you judging people, let yee free of sin, cast the first stone.

Shuts them up, every time:)

See, even Christians can't abide by their OWN Holy Book, yet when someone of another faith trips a mine, oh every CHristian in town goes down and bashes them. It's one of those contradicting points that CHristians seem to love to make, nobody else can do something that shouldn't be done (because the Bible said so no less) but yet THEY can do it whenever they want because it's "bashing their Bible" and another good excuse is, "In the name of God" or whatever (I heard it before...so I'm not stereotyping Christians...)

I tell them, 'If you don't like my gate, don't swing on it'!
And ,yes, it is judgmental, but not bearing false witness! they just have a false sense of self-importance! Tell them to get a grip, and go bother someone else!

They're often too busy looking at other people that they fail to see themselves... and vice versa. These are the Pharisees of their own book who spend their time judging rather than loving. What supreme irony.

May the Triforce shine its light upon you, and the Force be with you at all times.

These people would also probably tell you that if something is not written in the bible it isn't true.
Where in the bible does it say God is not happy with the way you are?

People cant tell you that cuz dey aint God. It is judgementtal & lying...lieing...ling....not tellin da truth. Only God can say whether He likes or dislikes something.
Even if someone does something wrong, God still loves the person & wouldnt not like dem.
I agree wit you & those other people who sed dat were mad wrong.
