I am nearly head over heels for a guy I work with. He looks at me, stares at me, laughs at my jokes, asks me silly things just to speak to me. He smiles at me a lot and we keep catching each other looking at each other. Yesterday we could not keep from smiling at each other but today he said morning and that was that. Why would a man behave like this.

Sweetie, he may just be having a bad day, Stop reading so much into things. His world more than likely does not revolve around you. When you see him gently ask is everything okay.

Men are so different then women. I too have a hard time telling if a man likes me or not; however this guy sounds like he does like you at least on a friend level.
Today he probably has something on his mind or he is "trying to deny" that he is actually interested in a co-worker. Most people don't want to really get involved with people they work with but when the chemistry is there it is very hard to deny!!!
I would wait to see how the rest of the day and week goes. If the smiles "stop" completely then he is probably too afraid to keep flirting with you.
I would smile at him even if he doesn't smile first!!!!!

All men don't behave the same way, so that guy's behavior isn't necessarily indicative of the other 3.3 billion males on the planet.
I see no issue in what you describe however. Just because he was in a good mood yesterday doesn't mean he'll be that way all the time. Just saying "morning" isn't an indication of his feelings toward you, if he has any.
Why do some women want to over analyze male behavior?

I love the catching each other starring at each other. I've experienced that a lot. lol..The guy might be in a bad mood today. You never know. Don't think too much about it.

I hope he realized you guys were being discusting staring at eachother all day acting like dogs traped in cages. Why do guy have to be such dumb If he really likes you and is worth it he'll come after you. If not stop staring and goggling at eachother like you have never seen the opossite sex. Hes probably married!!!!!

Are you cheery every morning? Maybe it is just a rough morning for him. If he is normally flirting with you on a regular basis like it sounds, I wouldn't think much about his cold greeting this morning?

Probably because he realized tha dating a coworker would probably ruin his career and his marriage/relationship with his girlfriend. Maybe he was having a harmless flirting time and he realized you were serious and now he's backing off, because he doesn't want you.
