Because it seems that anything that puts the fighting in Iraq in a good or positive light must not be spoken of if you're a Liberal or a Democrat (and this doesn't mean that Liberals or Democrats are not as Patriotic as the next person) because it will seem like you're supporting the President. I don't agree with their views, but that's their right. I have more respect for Liberals that can make a better argument for their side besides "I hate Bush, Bush is EVIL" and "I hate Bush, he lied to us" and other rhetoric. I just believe that sometimes people have really selective vision when it comes to evidence or they only rely on a couple of biased news networks for ALL of their info. I know, I know, they say the same thing about us conservatives.
Technically we haven't lost any battles in a long time, but we may have to differentiate between battles and campaigns (a series of military operations taking place in one area over a period, intended to achieve a specific objective). It's still possible to win battles and loose campaigns and win campaigns and still loose wars. And taking hideous amounts of casaulties doesn't mean an operation was a failure (take a look at D-Day).
But the Liberals seem to believe that Iraq was a mistake in our global War on Terror. That the real enemy is in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and a few other places. But we said we'd go after anyone supporting terrorist and guess what, Saddam Hussein did support terrorists. And he did have weapons of mass destruction (just calculate how much death a few chemical artillery rounds can do to a city), I mean, he may not have had a working nuke, but chemical rounds are nasty things.

I understand you do not know when we lost a battle, so I suggest you do some research on military history.
A battle is not a war, in every war battles are won and lost on both sides.
As an attempt to demonize liberals all you did was make yourself look foolish. Unless of course you really didn't know what you were talking about.

Actually, the USA has lost a war back in the early 1970's. This war is known as the Vietnam War.

i strongly suspect this entire question was designed so that you could use the word 'lib.'

i've never heard anyone anywhere ever say anything other than that our military is a magnificent juggernaut -ever.

what should be questioned at this point is why we fight a nation that was not involved with 9/11 while at the same time arming the nation that produced the most terrorists, bin laden, and foreign born insurrgents in iraq - saudi arabia...

When's the last time we fought a war that included actual battles? I'm thinking it was WW2, but am happy to have someone refresh my memory.

We may not have lost a battle recently, but neither Korea nor Vietnam was very good for us.

When have you ever won a battle without the help and expertise of the British forces. American troops are trigger happy, cannon fodder who don't have 2 brain cells to rub together. oooh and are we forgetting Vietnam hummm you lost very badly and left a country in ruins just because you disagreed with their politics.
Tut Tut . read up you history before you ask dumb questions. p.s. you do realise you lot are not liked round the world much so I wouldn't get too cocky.
