The bible doesn't say you have to like God, only that you believe in him.

* Note to tards: This doesn't mean I believe in them or that I hate them. I don't think they exist.

Don't say "This wouldn't happen" or "Why would you do that". Just assume that it happened for a moment.

When something is cold, it's because heat is absent. When something is dark, it's because light is absent. God created heat/light, but not cold/dark, if our lives are cold/dark, it's not God's decision, such a situation was not created by him. I'm not religious or anything, my family is so I know a lot about Christianity. You seem to be confused about what God actually is, you see him as a mercyless sadistic punisher that hates on homos and thieves, Christianity doesn't teach this, nowhere in the Bible such stuff is written, god is love, and we won't be judged by our RELIGION but by our ACTIONS while we were alive. The things hatefull "Christians" say about homos/immigrants/etc are not what Christianity teaches, people like to hide behind a cross before expressing their complexes. If you really have these questions you should make a research or go ask a more spiritual person to have the answers, and then you can choose if you believe simply in the existence of a God, or in the existence of Jesus/Allah/Buddha/etc.

you are confused and it seems some christians are confused with you. Jesus said that you should love god with all your heart and love your neighbour as yourself. He never said that you should believe that god exists. Believing that god exists has absolutely nothing to do with what Jesus asked people to do, he assumed they already believed in god. And the same thing goes for most or all of the old testament. Nowhere does it ever say that you should believe god exists. This belief is implied, it is obvious so to speak. For those who think it is not obvious the bible is completely irrelevant. The message is not to believe god exists, but to love him and trust in him.

How can they believe but hate them? I don't think it's possible.

You know, you can't go to heaven just by believing God. You have to take action. You have to fulfill your portion of responsibility, for example, by marriage. Did you know you are only a half without your spouse? Children is an important part too. You also have to teach them the good way of life.

If you believe in God and Jesus, meaning the correct concept of God and Jesus and the Trinity, it is not possible for you to hate God and Jesus - there is that Holy Spirit which will be with you.

ADDITIONAL

There is absolutely no way it will happen, hating God and Jesus, as believing in them means accepting them and all that goes with it.

If you hate them, it means you have not believed in them in the first place - what you thought was 'belief' in them was actually not - either you have believed in the wrong concepts, or you have thought/deceived yourself that you are believing, or you have been taught the wrong concepts about them.

You become a liar and the devil is the father of lies. So you go where your father will be placed and Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire. Why do you hate the Lord who loves you so much? Are you confusing God with Satan? Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy. Have you lost someone you love? Horrible things happen because of sin in the world. Of course, God could stop it, but man chose it. And God will stop the sin of this world when as many people as can be saved, are saved.

I see all the christians are giving you Error 404 messages.

The answer is "no" for other reasons though..... most likely related to the fact that the abrahamic god is childish, petty, jealous and generally unpleasant (even when he loves you) .... and if you're not especially nice to him, he'll throw a fit and cast you into hell anyway.

As for Jesus.... Slightly more accepting, but still draws an ultimatum here and there....

No winning for you.

I believe he does. He may hate God for some reason, but if he believes in him, I believe he will go to Heaven. I've heard of someone who is mad at God because of an event that happened in their past. (death in the family, or friend) but they still believe in him.

Actually the bible says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (Mark 12:30) Love is a precursor of acceptance. You can't accept someone you hate, so even hypothetically, the answer is no.

It's not possible to believe without doing so wholeheartedly. The Scriptures make reference to men offering worship to God "......with lipservice (from the mouth and not the heart) as menpleasers (to make certain people happy and not necessarily themselves)." I would be led to believe that such a person, being insincere in his/her spiritual life would be judged to Hell for their actions/lack thereof.

Nope!
The Bible says to love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul and all your strength.
You can't believe in God unless you love him.
