Hi,

I want to visit Batam Island for a holiday from S’pore.

What are my choices? I think there are too many options. Can someone explain their pros and cons?

Go from Harbourfront to Batam Centre
Go from TMFT to Batam Centre
Go from TMFT to Nongsapura
Others…

Pl explain in terms of travel time, connections, ease of immigration, connectivity within Batam, etc.

The travel times and ferry costs are about the same. One main difference is Nongsapura is somewhat isolated and unless you're going to one of the nearby resorts or a nearby industrial area you've got a long ride back to the Batam Centre. Since is a remote location there are few taxis so you will probably pay a high fare.

Batam Center is pretty mush where you'll want to end up so you may as well go there. Whether you leave from Harbor Front or TMFT is dependent on where you start from. Harbor Front is definitely easier as it has an MRT station, although it does involve a lot of walking.

You can check the visa requirements but you will probably have to pay US $10 for a 'Visa on Arrival'. Be sure you have 6 months validity remaining for your passport.

Hi, the concern is more to where you would like to go.
For instance if you are to stay at Batam View Hotel or Turi Beach, for sure the best is to travel to Nongsa Pura.
I myself would recommend you to check details in www.batamciti.com for your clear reference.
