And, predictable as clockwork or sunrise, one fundy jumps in to say God shot John Lennon and another jumps in to say John and Yoko are burning in Hell . . . *sigh*

And then they wonder why anyone would write a song asking others to imagine people like them don't exist . . . o_O

A song written by an atheist and beloved by atheists...not all Christians realize what this song's lyrics are saying..they should pay more attention..

Imagine there's no Heaven or Hell

Imagine all the people living just for themselves with no thought but for the carnal things in their lives..mind and body and nothing more. Get rid of all thoughts of a creator who made all things...no worry about a Judgment Day...in other words...become atheists like me and Yoko......
Way to go John,,,,,you reserved your place in the Hell that you don't think exist.

It's a beautiful song about an Utopia.

We are not prepared to live in peace and without religious intolerance.

I think he reaped exactly what he sowed, did you know this,

Here are some men and women who mocked God:

JOHN LENNON:
Some years before during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:
"Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple. Today we are more famous than Him." (1966)
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

It's overrated. It sends a good message, but I don't care much for the music itself. John has many songs that are far better - "Jealous Guy" for example.

It was inspired by Forrest Gump. LOL

But seriously speaking... Religion alone is not bad. Its the differing views it creates that can be destructive.
