or can I also use it for the subway? I'm going for an exam next week on the subway, and I'd like to use a day pass because I'm meeting up with my friend further downtown then where my exam is. I don't want to keep paying $2.75 everytime I get on the subway.

The pass is valid throughout the Toronto public transit system (subways and buses).

Here's the link: http://www.toronto.ca/ttc/family_pass.htm

Note that for "singles" the pass can be used until 5:30 am the next day.

Good luck on your exam!

A TTC day pass is valid for both the bus and the subway - it also gives you unlimited trips on all ttc vehicles from morning till midnight. Cost is $8.50.

TTC routes operate north of Steeles Avenue under contract to York Region Transit. As such, you have to pay the full York Region fare ($3.25) to ride north of Steeles, just as you would if you were riding a YRT or Viva bus. Don't like it? If your destination is within 2-3 km of Steeles, and you are in reasonably good health, you can walk there instead.
