Nope. It's never crossed my mind, why?
I don't think about what other people would think of me all that often. It's a useless waste of time an energy. When I'm preforming a ritual, I'm in the moment. I'm not self-conscious about what I'm doing, because I'm doing what feels right.

For Wiccans?
Why just for Wiccans, is Wicca the only religion that preforms rights? I hardly think so. All religions have their religious rites. Do you think Christians ever ask themselves when taking Communion, "WoW how stupid is this, believing that bread and wine actually become the body and blood of a guy that died over 2000 yrs ago? Or the Jews ask similar when doing their rites.
I'm not a Wiccan, but I am a witch. I do not care how the rite looks as long as I get the results I am after.
BTW: In case you were unaware of the fact, not all witches are Wiccan, and not all Wiccans are witches. Wicca is a religion, whereas witchcraft is the Craft of the witch. A witch can be of any religion, though there are some religions that speak against the practice of witchcraft.

Umm. You really need to think about that some more. That's all I'm saying.
Learn from the answers you already have, because I agree with them, and I'd be wasting my time just repeating the words of my Wiccan and Pagan friends.
I would guess you are Atheist, because Christians have unique practices of their own, and hopefully aren't so ignorant to not notice this.
I am Atheistic, too, but I follow a faith. It is this that allows me to open my mind to the various different faiths, while not changing my own beliefs (despite the fact that my beliefs are in a constant state of change, I never break them).

i'd say by the answers so far, that your reply is a resounding NO!!
and, as a hedgewitch, i say absolutely not.
no i'm not wiccan, but then again, nor are others who perform their rituals every day/week etc - will you ask the same question of these others too - if not you may be viewed by some as prejudiced

No...I have not, nor have any other that I know of. I will say that not all of our ritual work is serious...we can have fun and laugh too.
My turn...I could ask the same of others of different faiths, but I will not because it would not only be rude, but it would insight a return of ugly comments out of intolerance, ignorance, and lack of understanding.
I truly hope you find what you are looking for.
Blessings

No - usually I'm too wrapped up in the meaning of the ritual and the connection with the God and Goddess to worry about it.

Who cares what you look like to others if your heart is focused on what you are doing and why you are doing it? Someone that concerned with "looking stupid" needs to not be practicing Wicca anyway.
And I agree with Daughter of Isis above. Do you think Christians care if they look stupid when speaking in tongues, dancing with snakes, shaking after the preacher touches them to "heal" them, or Muslims care if they look stupid when they kneel to pray five times a day?

Nope, I have never thought this, even when doing rituals in public.

No. Why would I think I look stupid? Good way to have an open mind.

I think that if you really believe, and embrace it then you shouldn't be embarassed. It is a religion and if someone doesn't understand or believe it then that is their opinion. You shouldn't feel that you look stupid in thier eyes because they don't understand.
