Our god and father in heaven, we pray for peace and comfort for anyone that suffered loss or injury in this tragic accident. Please be with emergency workers involved in the recovery efforts today. We thank you that it was not worse than it was and for the quick response of people on the scene and in the hospitals that assisted with rescuing victims. We pray for your continued guidance in the days to come and understand that your will is not always clear to us. Finally, we pray for the recovery of anyone still in need of your healing, Amen.

For anyone not in the midwest that doesn't know of this tragedy yet here is just one story about the bridge collapse.

Thank you Keltasia. You don't have to pray to my God, I appreciate your genuine concern.

In respect, please refrain from using the thumbs down on people that don't hold the same beliefs as yourself. Thanks to ANYONE thinking of the victims and their well being.

" . . . your will is not always clear to us." I feel this may have happened to prevent further death and tragedy.

Other bridges have already been inspected, there's a call to inspect more across the country, and hopefully, this will put in place stricter regulations for what passing means during bridge inspection.

Thank you for the prayer. It was awesome! Amen!

I live in Minneapolis, MN and I am so thankful that I wait until rush hour lightens up until I leave because I could've been on that bridge. It makes me mad that in 1990 there was word that the bridge would need to be replaced. Why didn't they do more than patch work? My sister takes that same highway home from her job everyday and I haven't been able to get a hold of her so it really makes you think that you could lose something in just an instant. Never take anything for granted! I would also like to add that there were originally 7 said to be dead and the number went down to 4. Many others are trapped in the water in cars and some under debris. The likelihood of those people being alive aren't good. I heard Tim Pawlenty give excuses and not hold the state at fault for any of this. There is so much other road work going on in this state like tons of highway work on I-94 towards Fargo, ND. Why do they focus on widening these roads or retaring them instead of fixing important things like bridges handing over large bodies of water?

Yes, God's "WILL" be done!!!.....You my brother are doing what is right and all we, those who feel helpless, can DO TO HELP is get down on our knees and thank GOD that it was not as bad as it could have been! With this said, I pray for healing for the families that did suffer the loss of their loved ones, and those injured and traumatized by this accident........Those who died have not died in vain, .....We don't live in a perfect world and men and women make mistakes...obviously they will learn what mistakes were made by this tragedy and will be better able to stop another bridge from collapsing.....
You are a prayer warrior and I STAND WITH YOU!...Earlier I asked pretty much the same question you did, and was reported to yahoo for violating guidelines...There are a lot of people who don't agree in praying, who don't believe in God, and who blame GOD for allowing this to happen...I pray for you, that your eyes will be opened by the "truth" and that you will not spend another minute serving the "dark-side"........

Amen Tregosteevo...

You know, living here in Minneapolis, it was easy to say a prayer when I heard the news. Kept praying when I saw what happened. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for at the very least thinking of all of us here---and yes, saying even a little prayer.

I had prayed for those who were injured and those who had passed, but thanks to you, I started praying for those who just jumped in to help. An extra prayer for the camp counselor on the bus who made sure that all the kids got off the bus..

When I try and answer something here on Yahoo, I try and back it up with a web site. This one brought me hope--and another reason to say a little prayer.

Thanks to all.

There is something about tragedy that makes us feel human and unites us with our common man, no matter the race. I am sorry for those people. I couldn't imagine that. I am praying for everyone . God has a plan, and we as Christians will reap the benefits. God Bless.

I agree with you in prayer.

We may never know the spiritual reason this happened, if any. However, we do know that the same Creator that some will rail against because of this tragedy will be with the families of the victims, and with the survivors.
