As long as you can afford to care for, feed and love your dogs, you are fine. Just don't forget, vet care for 4 to 5 dogs gets expensive.

I have 5. They range in age from almost 2 to 14. We spend on average $3000-$4000 per year on vet care.
I know that sounds like a lot of money but with 5 dogs you have yearly exams and shots, monthly heartworm and flea prevention, one dog is an allergy girl so she is on a prescription diet, one who has a thyroid condition so she has bloodwork every 6 months and daily meds... and then there's usually something wrong with someone at least once a month.... ear infection, someone is throwing up, someone is limping or got hurt playing too hard...

It's like kids. I love my dogs to peices and I make sure that they go to the vet the minute they show the signs of anything wrong. I have a great vet and we get a multi dog discount.

Don't forget grooming and collars and toys, ID tags, Dog beds, crates and obedience training.

All of yours are young, You have a pretty expensive year ahead of you with all the spays and neuters ahead of you....

It's only too many if you can't afford this.

You may want to consider pet insurance. It really helps.

As long as the dogs have room to run around and play and you are providing them with sufficient food, water, care and love then its OK.
The pitt and the jack russell, both being terriers, especially needs room to run around (they like running and playing). They need this to burn off steam or else they can become destructive (chew furniture, digging, etc).
I wouldn't get anymore dogs if I were you. Your dogs seem to get along so don't ruin the little group by adding a new addition.
Also, 5 dogs is OK but there may be laws in your town about getting anymore. Plus, if you ever move there may be issues.

As long as you take care of them, then you're fine. Congrats on the pits! They are wonderful dogs, they just get a bad rep from the media. I have 4 dogs right now myself...Zeus - Lab/Golden mix, 9 yrs. Apollo - mut from the humane society, 7 yrs. Xena - registered yellow lab, 6 yrs. And last but not least, my rescue pup Bella - most likely staffordshire bull terrier...found her starving on the side of the road...about 3 months now. And trust me, they are all well taken care of.

A couple names: Belle, Lilly, Sadie, Jasmine (or Jazz for short), Isis, Ginger, Lilly

As long as you can care for all the dogs including vet bills and a high quality food for them. Also you should have enough time to spend time with each dog and give everyone attention. If you are doing this then it's not too many.

If you have room for all of them, they are properly cared for and getting their necessary exercise, attention, nourishment and vet visits... I can't see a reason why that would be too many.

That is of course if you are keeping their area clean and droppings cleaned up. They aren't barking all the time and creating a nuisance for your neighbors.

Why would it be a problem?
