Okay, so basically I met this girl, and started flirting with her. We got along, then it turns out that she's my cousin's gf. I certainly didn't know, and stopped all flirting. And I even had a conversation with her, her admitting she has a crush on me, and me saying that we're better off as friends. She at the time agreed it was best.
Anyways, flash foward a few weeks, and I find myself on the phone or on MSN with her for hours a day. I didn't give her my number, and it is her calling me, I have never once dialed her number. I don't flirt anymore, but she still does.
Now my cousin tells me that he's going to ask her to marry him. A few days later, she tells me if that if he asks her to marry him, she would say no. I hinted yesterday that I might not pick up her calls and delete her from MSN....she didn't sound too pleased.
So I feel a bit like a jackass right now...am I?

You are not being a jackass you are just being real and honest with her and you get major kudos for that. I would just cut all contact with her off for respect for your cousin. Honestly too you should tell her that if she doesn't get over you that you'll be forced to have to inform your cousin. I mean he is fam he comes first. Honestly this is kinda saying alot about her too. Maybe he shouldn't marry her if she is so smitten by you that easily. But yeah DEFINITELY stop any contact with her cause this could get messy. Your cousin might even think its partly your fault if he finds out she likes you like that. Stop corresponding with her.

No ur not and if ur not serious about this girl please do not respond to her calls nor her chats anymore. If u do respond then yeah u sure will get catagorised into one.
If ur cousin thinks he is that serious about asking her to marry him then dude ur way too much into deep squiggly mud. Just tell her in plain words u were just flirting at the time as u were not serious but just being friendly with her, but that things got carried on coz both didn't put a stop to it, so it's time that u stop it coz ur( girl) not stopping the flirting thing.

If I was in your position, I'd tell your cousin what's been going on; better yet, tell him not to propose! Neither of you deserve a girl like that.

No you did the right thing. But be careful she might get really upset and tell your cousin something. Like make it sound like you where trying to mess with her. So I would keep those miss calls in my phone from her for proof that she was trying to mess with you. Cuz some females will do that.

No, you're not the jackass, she is. She has a man(who's obviously in love with due to the fact that he plans on marrying her) and she still continues to flirt with you.

no if anything she is being the jack *** for allowing things to escalate to this level without telling your poor cousin.
i dont know what her motives are but it concerns me that instead of breaking up to pursue you - she has stayed in relationship with him.
i dont know how close you are to your cousin but you might want to consider expressing your concern to him over the situation. i think it would be better for him to hear from you then to hear from her. because who knows what she will tell him - or even when. if she is waiting for him to propose to drop the bomb on him - he will be crushed and angry.
