It is NOT a diet supplement! It was never meant as an appetite suppressant, but rather prevents the absorption of fat and passes it out through your colon. Because of that prevention, many have found it to be an effective addition to a VERY low-fat diet. If you eat more than a few grams of fat, it will pass out of you as an oil; many have found it makes them very gassy. Many have also stained their clothes and have had to wear a napkin, panty liner, etc. to prevent leaks and stains.
Use it wisely if you decide to go that way. I didn't like it, but that was a personal decision.

Alli is not a supplement, nor is it an appetite suppressant. It is a complete waste of money. If anyone ever read the warnings or the info on their web site, nobody would take the stuff.
The reality is, in the manufacturer's own tests before they released the product, people who took Alli lost less than 1 lb a month more over the course of 12 months than people taking a placebo. You should just find out what the placebo was and go with that.
You can read more about Alli here:

If you really want to lose weight permanently, you have to accept that you need to eat right and exercise and stop looking for magic pills. There are plenty of great programs you can follow that will give you real results and cost less than Alli. Check some out here:

Like other diet pills and many other "diet" stuff, I think it's a great marketing gimmick. Look at the commercials. They focus on diet, exercise, lifestyle changes in addition taking the pill. I've also read about the side effects (The current issue of "Redbook" has an article on diet pills, drinks, etc., and their positive and negative effects. I don't know where my copy is; I think it got misplaced in the moving shuffle.)
I've never taken diet pills. I lost my weight and kept it off by diet changes (first by becoming a vegetarian, then going vegan) and being active. I eat whole foods and stay away from overly processed foods. (As I type, I'm eating frozen strawberries and blueberries. For breakfast I had some Kashi Go Lean! Crunch with some Cheerios and soy milk. Lunch will be natural peanut butter with natural blackberry spread on sugar free dairy/egg free whole wheat) and a potato and broccoli. I'm not sure about dinner yet, that's too far away.)
Even though I'm at least seven months pregnant, very likely seven and a half (the baby is due in September and I've gotten two different dates; By Sept. 1, my husband and I will be on Baby Watch) I've only gained about 20 pounds.
I'm not sure if it's about "appetite suppression", but about food choices. Why would I want to suppress my appetite if I voraciously eat fruits and veggies and other good, real stuff?

No.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

do no longer use Alli! It makes you poop like loopy to shed pounds. have confidence me, except you prefer to positioned on person diapers do no longer use Alli in any respect. i'm on Weight Watchers and it somewhat is surprisingly good. Their thought of "factors" for a foodstuff finding on it somewhat is energy, fat, and fiber somewhat works. You get a definite quantity of things according to day finding on your top, weight, and different aspects, and as long as you do no longer eat extra advantageous than your factors will enable, or artwork out adequate to earn those factors, you somewhat do shed pounds at a reasonable %.(i'm at a pair of million lb. a week)
