This verse is most revealing and I just
wanted to see what folks think, I know
there are many non-believers on R&S
but I have the right to ask a question.
Don 't get your feathers ruffled, sister.

I'm one of those "idiots" mac, and John C. How very tolerant of you. I'm glad your liberal attitudes have made you so understanding and so much better than me.

Unfortunately with the birth of the cults a person must be more selective than that. "Who every believes that the Jesus of the Bible is the Christ is born of God" is how we must say it now.. To many believe he is a prophet, or a creation of God. The devils believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God, and they tremble. A believer must believe that He is God, that he has always been God and He in His grace was willing to suffer a death of eternal torment to pay the terrible price of Sin. And if we trust Him to do that for us we will never die. That eternal life is ours now. It is His gift to us who believe in Him.. Jim

Did Jesus exist? Probably. Was the myth proposed in the bible accurate? Most definitely not. The story of a saviour, a child of god, is not a new story. Christianity borrowed heavily from earlier religions. Man created god in his image, not the other way around.

I do!

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

I do. It is what the bible and myself proclaim with great joy. It's called the "blessed hope". Translation of blessed is happy.

It looks like Jason H was one of the few who picked up on it not being a complete sentence. Perhaps the asker was going to end it with "...is a complete idiot."

It depends on how you look at God. As far as muslims see, God is only one and has no associates, therefore he cannot have a son.

Jesus was created by God, just as he has created everything else.
