There was a special on about the crumbling infrastructure in the U.S. Bridges, the electric grid, the levies, are all in bad shape which has become painfully obvious in the last few years with several major bridges collapsing, the power going out all over the country in extreme temperatures, and what happened in New Orleans.
It was determined that if these issues aren't addressed, the U.S. could become a third world country in short order. I have not heard anyone in our government address these issues until a disaster has occurred and then it is fixed with a bandaid. I am afraid these issues are being left for when the economy collapses, this will be what employs many people as it did during the depression.

does your government really spend money on health care & education for illegal aliens(if they do, that is ridiculous)? how they spend it? maybe they use the money thru the agency, something like doing crackdowns on illegal aliens. of course that needs money. I agree w/ you it should not be that way. but i think you are wrong of your allegations. no country will do that. only the legal ones have the right to that benefit because they pay taxes. and before and during the incident, workers were present and bridge inspection or repairs were being done. the local officials' judgement of the bridge's condition should be blamed. the repairs should be done earlier if they had the correct assessment.

If opposites attract, then SpiderPig and Racist Rebel make a simply divine couple, don't they?
Fact is, regardless of the quality of their work, they should all be less defeatist...that is, they need to believe in their power to unite and build their own economies (of their respective nations).
And fundamental fiscal policy is far from a "Nazi tactic".
A Nazi tactic would be causing news outlets to publish biased news such as referring to types of people in terms that are untrue or unrealistic - good or bad.
Calling volunteer firefighters or Minuteman members "vigilantes" and dubbing illegal aliens "entrants" or "undocumented migrants" are good examples.
As for the question, there is no argument. Citizens and legal residents have paid money for decades to build this country.
The idea of giving any of it to a 12 year old mother of 2 simply because she thumbed her nose at our law, crossed illegally into our country and gave birth is egregious, insensitive, defeatist and unavoidably chaotic.
It will (already has) caused our most contributors - loyal citizens and LEGAL immigrants - to doubt our government. It's only a matter of time till we rise up and refuse to pay taxes into this quagmire.

Illegals are like birds, they will flock where ever they can get free food.
Take away the bird feeder and the birds disappear, take away the free stuff these aliens get and they will not come.
In any event, the bridges should be a priority. Not only for the safety of the people, but for the security of the nation. What is the good of infrastructure if you can't trust it or if it fails at the worse moment.

I agree with you completely. On the other hand, there were workers on this bridge doing routine cosmetic maintenance who didn't know anything was wrong with it, so we wouldn't have necessarily known that there was a threat. I completely agree that we should have people on it, and stop paying illegals, it just seems like a daunting task to check and test every bridge in the US.

Is this the topic of today? What happened to all the discussions about repairing Levees. Oh wait, that was so last year. It just seems like we discuss discuss discuss and never fix anything. By the way, 2-1 odds someone blames this on Iraq and Bush.
OH WOW TACO, that was the quickets Bush blame in history.

Our infrastructure has nothing to do with illegals but more with the billions that are spent on this war we are fighting. When our own military kills it own for protesting the war like they killed Tillman a man who gave up a 3 million dollar contract because of his angst over 9/11and his patriotic duty show that this war is has gone to new levels of abhorrence's. When I lived in Minneapolis there was a report about bridges throughout America and their safety compromised due to their age. So in saying we can cover health care, education for all people in America. You're question only invites misdirected anger to a group who has come here and for the most part been a contributing to the betterment of our nation. I would examine what really you fear from these people. Why did your question not ask about the billions that have been spent rebuilding Iraq the war that we have already won, which our current administration has already claimed. I would like you to respond to my answer so I can enlighten you to what the aliens have contributed.
