I am not a mother. This started happening to me after my husband said that he heard me making noises in my sleep, and then I heard myself snoring. It really bothered me.

I don't regularly snore, I only was snoring then because I was congested with a cold, many people don't think this is why I am sleeping differently lately. They all say it's just stress related.

There are many reasons, but if you can't find one, like stress, you should see your doctor. Even though 36 is young to start experiencing symptoms of pre-menopause, it happened to me! I had the hardest time falling asleep! And couldn't sleep much at all during the night. Eventually my dr. put me on estrogen cream which I applied at night, that helped a lot.
You can also try benadryl. My dr. told me I can take up to 100mg/night. She said it is NON-addictive and will leave your system in about 8 hours. I did find, however, that it made it difficult for me to get up in the morning. Now I use melatonin. That seems to help, but if i take 3mg, I have weird dreams. i found 1.5 mg. is the best for me. Once I was told I snored, I became a light sleeper. I was so embarrassed about snoring because I thought of it as a masculine trait. I learned my snoring also had a reason, it was obstructive sleep apnea. Now, when I wear a C-pap to sleep, I don't snore and I sleep sounder.
When I was told I snored, it was with a chuckle. I didn't think it was funny. It isn't that I don't have a sense of humor, it is because I was just so embarrassed about it, and my husband knew it.
I hope you are able to begin sleeping soundly again.

I have always been a light sleeper ever since I was a child, If it started for you after you husband told you that you were making noises you might be sleeping light so that you don't disturb him. I don't think it's some thing that you're doing on a conscience level. You might need to ask your doctor if you snore because my daughter snored so loud that we had to have her tonsils removed. When we had that done she stopped snoring and she started to sleep much better, when she had her tonsils they were getting in the way at night so that she'd developed sleep apnea and one day when I was in the room while she slept I realized that she stopped breathing for short periods of time, That scared the he bejebe's out of me. That's when I took her to the doctor and we decided to have her tonsils removed.

Light sleeper have this in common. When they sleep that have unconsciously made a decision to be aware of their surrounding, they do not allow themselves to get to a deep sleep state. For what ever reasons this is what happens. Some it is new found motherhood others it is the area they live in. What ever the reason they keep this state of mind. But a person who want to change this behavior all they have to do is think and allow themselves to sleep. They must mean what they say when they say to themselves. "I allow my self to sleep" This is hard for the person who has conditioned them selves to be a light sleeper , but this is achievable. I know this because I was a light sleeper and had had narcolepsy when I was during my waking hours. I went to a cognitive rehabilitative psychiatrist and he taught me this simple technique. Since then I have used this technique on other things that bothered me and it truly works. Best wishes.

Normally stress or worrying can cause this kind of sleep disorder, when your brains going through all the stuff that could of happened or might happen the next day and the consequences of your actions. So your brains not giving out the theta waves so it can't go into an unconscious state. From personal experience I know that melatonin can help send you to sleep, maybe you should talk to your doctor about this.

YOU ARE A LIGHT SLEEPER MANY PEOPLE ARE. That's no a bad , it is good 2 hear something. 2 snore that different maybe u are stressed.

Stress has alot to do with it. Dreaming is just a way to work out our daily problems, or torment us when we do something wrong. The more you worry about it, the more it affects you. Not all dreams make sense, it's just your brain trying to work things out. Try some New age music.

Thats because your in between awake and asleep.I have done that before after taking certain medications and when I have been under stress.

I sometimes hear everything and therefore can't sleep.maybe it's just a phase you are going thru.
