Sometimes one antidepressant is prescribed to help someone sleep at night and another one is prescribed to take in the morning. Often people that have been taking these medications need to switch to something else because the meds that they are currently taking stop working after a while. It is common for people to take more than one antidepressant at one time. A certain combination will help a person feel better. It is up to you and your doctor as a team to decide what works for you.

It depends on what they are and why they were prescribed. Some people who are on one antidepressant or another for depression, anxiety, etc... can be prescribed drugs that are considered antidepressants for chronic pain.
If you are concerned I would contact the doctor who prescribed the medications for a better explanation. Specially if you were given them for other reasons that I mentioned above.

NO and, I'm sure you didn't get them from the same doctor. This is what happens when people change doctors all the time. A doctor doesn't know what your up to.
Some people will bounce around to several doctors with the same story until they get what they want, and, different pharmacists.
Stop it and get your story straight at one doctor and, keep him.
