I know that the big Parrots and Macaws can be beautiful and impressive. They also can cost a fortune !
In my opinion the lowly Quaker parrot is unsurpassed! His green and blue feathers , contrasted with his cute grey accents are attractive, and yet he is small enough to be much easier to handle than the colossal full sized birds. Quakers are very smart, and extremely affectionate.
I have absolutely nothing against the larger beautiful birds! I appreciate their striking beauty and their other qualities. I just happen to like the smaller Quaker ! :-)
Who does everyone else like??

I don't have to dream of my dream bird because I have her. She is a 14 month old African Grey named Phoebe. Ive had her home for 11 months. She is sweet and smart. She calls me with an adorable "Youuuu Whoooo" when I'm not in her sight. She watches me as I type on the computer and asks me "watcha doin?" When I answer of just typing she asks "what?" She knows her shapes and colors, she plays catch, well actually I do the catching and she throws things to me. She likes to play I'm gonna getch (a game where I pretend to poke at her) and she cries ow, ow, ow all the while. I am excited to see how much more she'll learn as she continues to mature. She has never bit, is not afraid of changes as I was told she would be and loves to call to wild birds through the window. She is more than a dream bird, she is my dream bird.

Believe it or not, after all the birds I've dealt with in my job at pet store, if I could have a bird (I have too many cats) I
would get 2 Budgies. They are the larger parakeets that sit more upright than the regular 'keets.
They are so cool!

Black Palm Cockatoo would be my choice.
If Cliffduckie is all she claims to be, she should know better than to encourage the breeding of hybrid birds. God made each species for a reason, and humans shouldn't go interbreeding the different species to their preferences. If humans continue to practice they hybridizing of animal species we will eventually loose the pure species that were put on this planet.

They specific do! yet birds sleep somewhat gentle, as component to a protecting instinct. So in case you get curious one evening and attempt to observe your feathered acquaintances close eye, you may startle her or him and supply the unfavourable concern a evening terror. continually stable to have a small nightlight on your dreaming birds, as they do no longer see ok at evening.

I'd really like some kind of parrot as they are very entertaining and fun, but they take a lot of attention and care. So maybe a dove or something.
