I have been dealt a huge blow and I study each day Daily manna and heartlight verses that arrive or go to their web site. One day in the last few months there was a verse that had I think a commentary with it that said "watch out, what you are about the encounter is bigger than you can handle" does this sound like any Bible verse that you can suggest that could lead me back to what I read, my soul is desperate for it today. thanks in God's love WEndy

Found it especially for all of you who called me "wrong or bad". ........
" When you're in over your head, I'll be there with you. When you're in rough waters, you will not go down. When you're between a rock and a hard place, it won't be a dead end
Because I am God, our personal God, .....I'd sell off the whole world to get you back trade the creation just for you.

These things say to watch out for yourself at what ever cost:

(Psalm 44:22) Yet for your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.

(Matthew 10:16) I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

Psalm 58:10 - The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.

This sounds like the conversation between Moses and his father-In-law in Exodus 18: 17-23.

Moses was in charge of the whole nation of Israel when he led them out of Egypt. Moses was trying to be the leader and solve every ones problems and or disputes. As the leader of Israel, this was his job.

In response to this, Mose's father-in-law said,
"What you are doing is not good. You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you, you can not handle it alone." (After all, Moses was in charge of well over a million people.)

Moses took the advice and put other men in place and delegated his responsibilities to hear the people and resolve the problems.

I hope this helps....

Wendy I don't know what Bible you are reading but none of the respected translations say such a thing. Get a New king James or something mainstream. you sound confused.

Go into the daily manna archives and find it. there must be a way to view the previously posted verses by the date.

No nothing comes to mind. Sounds like something added.
Take great caution what you read...not all sources are correct. Some lead people away.
Read the Bible instead.

The bible also says to gaurd your heart. Do you allow problems in your life or are you staying away from people and places that may wound your spirit?
God Bless!

You reading this stuff for guidance through life is very like reading your horoscope. It applies to everyone and is never specific enough to be useful. Try to go out to a park and read a real book. It will take your mind off your issues.

Yes, there will be many things you can't handle - not without the indwelling Holy Spirit and the body of Christ.

...I'm concerned... who's been teaching you...? it doesn't seem to be of the God of Moses, Abraham, David and Jesus.
God is not the author of confusion and would not give you anything more then you can handle... (His Word declares it).
Be careful who you allow yourself to be "spiritually" led... Test the Spirit (spirit) and allow God to speak to your heart... (what you've asked about is not a passage in Scripture).

Our Lord will never give you something you cannot handle even if it brings you to an inch of your life.
