That was ended when Jesus Christ came, died and resurrected. He became the ultimate and perfect sacrifice to wipe away all the sins of mankind - past, present and future.

well it has been ordered to sacrify ur self in the name of god.if u die in the name of god u dont really die and it is strictly prohibited to call a person dead who sacrified himself in the name of god.god has created us and giving ur life in the name of god is the biggest worship of all.
