Polytheism: The concept of god where multiple forms of the One deity can exist at one and the same time Independently of each other but still be considered (as being of) one spirit.

In other words --- If the Son, Father and Holy Ghost were ONE DEITY then blaspheming one part would automatically mean it was against all of the ONE DEITY.

The only way to blaspheme one part of the Trinity without blaspheming the other parts is to have three separate gods which is a Tri-theism or Polytheism.

"And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man (JESUS) will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven." (Luke 12:10)

The Holy Spirit is indeed God at work and to commit a sin against him (the Spirit) is to commit a sin against God.

(Jesus was/is God in the flesh and is the only way of salvation. Holy Spirit was/is God in spirit and It's initial work in our life as a non-believer is to draw us to Christ. God is/was God.)

There are two sins, resisting the Holy Spirit and insulting the Holy Spirit, which can lead to the "unforgivable sin" of blashpemy against against the Spirit.

Resisting is when a person knows that the Spirit is working to bring them to Jesus , but their pride keeps them from acknowledging Christ as Savior and Lord. In this sin, the danger is every time they resist God's Spirit, they make it mjore difficult for him/herself to come to Christ.

Insulting is when the person essentially dismisses the great price that Jesus paid for him/her at the cross of calvary. This person has refused to accept the tremendous gift of salvation that God has offered to him/her.

The "ultimate sin" (Blasphemy against the Spirit) is to reject Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. That is the point of no return. Every time a person resists the Spirit and insults him, he/she gets a step closer to this ultimate sin.

So in essence you are correct. To blashpeme the Spirit is to ultimately reject God's wonderful gift to of dying in the flesh (as Jesus) to atone for our sins.

Well the the Trinity is the Son, The Father, and the Holy Ghost. And I never heard the term polytheism when referring to God or diety in fact. I can try to explain something to you though. Jesus is The Father or God in human form and I think he could be blasphemized because he was on Earth for one reason which was to die for the sins of the people. The Holy Spirit is just what it implies the Spirit of the Father or God. And if you blasphemize the Holy Spirit it is a direct blasphemy towards the Holy Spirit whereas if you blasphemized Jesus it would be indirect.

God is not tripartite but manifests or works in threes. The answer is simple.

(1) His first dispensation, revelation and manifestation was as the spirit Father in the Old Testament.
(2) His second dispensation, revelation and manifestation was as the Son in flesh in the four New Testament gospels.
(3) His third dispensation, revelation and manifestation is the Holy Spirit beginning with the Book of Acts; which are the Acts of the Holy Spirit to the culmination of time.

Now, because of Calvary, He is able to be present with us. Once again to fellowship as He did with Adam in the Garden. It simply boils down to God over us, God with us, God in us.

If you reject the Holy Spirit you have rejected everything that God has to offer. I hope you see that what is being rejected or blasphemed is his final form and his final pleading; not one-third of a non-existent trinity.

(To say that rejecting the Holy Spirit is also to reject the Father and the Son would support a trinity and be contrary to what God has already done and spoken.)

No Christian held to a three person God as sound doctrine; until it was introduced by apostates some 200 years after the death of the last Apostle. If you reject the Holy Spirit that was given to you; then God is no longer in you, with you or over you. There is then, nothing left for you.

yet another atheist who merely scans the bible then makes what they supply thought to logical conclusions. no longer something must be farther from the fact. initially ,what's blaspheming the holy spirit. did you comprehend there is extra effective than one way. yet there is merely one blaspheming the holy spirit it is unforgivable. confident Luke 12:10 exhibits one way. and it somewhat is the only factor you have good so a approaches. the single you actual need to verify is Mark, financial disaster 13 verse 11. And this scripture is geared in direction of god's pick and might merely be committed whilst devil is on earth claiming to be Jesus / God and has almost absolutely everyone fooled. To refuse to repeat what's on the spot to you by skill of the holy spirit would be unforgivable. Your grade = "F "

I'll tell ya - the Holy Spirit is the aspect of God that is sent to us to lead us to Christ who mediates on our behalf to the Father. How can you receive unction or urging from an entity that you are mocking and hating. You have built that wall and cannot receive forgiveness. That is why blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is unforgivable. The Holy Spirit is the aspect of God that draws a person toward forgiveness. There is no Trinity. Most people understand Jesus conceptually as man first and God second...so we could be mistaken and say things against Him in our ignorance and sinful nature that later we are led by the Holy Spirit to repent of. However, the Holy Spirit should be in our minds fully that of God. The Spirit of God, the very substance of Jehovah as our Creator. As we are sanctified we become more able to understand, hear, listen, see, absorb, feel and then speak about the things of God as we should. However, blasphemy is outright denial so the Spirit is grieved away and without that Spirit man is unable to come to Christ on His own. God choose us...we just choose Him back...or not. He stands at the door of your heart, knocking as the Holy Spirit....won't you please answer. Love in Christ, ~J~ <>< :0)

Yes they are One......but they are 3 in nature

We cannot explain all the things of God....if we could, then that would make us equal to Him.

Some things MUST be left up to mystery & faith.

And I have a ton of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ

you do blaspheme all of them...that is why it is sin .....

the concept of oneness has to do with unity and singleness of holiness and power...not a "number" of persons who share this holiness.

the hebrew word is echad ( unity) , not yachid ( singular one)

unity means there must be more than one to unite with another.....a single one cannot unite with itself
