As in the Monty Python 'Australian sketch' - "American beer's a bit like making love in a canoe..."

That was good for a laugh - one guy saying that bud is disgusting and he prefers carslberg. One brand of weasel urine up against another. Bud, carlsberg, fosters, carling, stella and all the rest that are actually British or brewed here under licence are all rip offs. Poor quality ingredients, mass produced, tasteless and bland. Like the people that drink them I suppose. If you like lager type beers buy imported stuff from Germany, Belgium and to a lesser extent France and some eastern european brews. the rule is, if it is brewed here it will be crap and you will be paying through the nose having been sucked in by classy advertising.

Personally I grade 90 per cent of the produce not coming from my country as not being beer. Here we consider anything foreign with yellow colour and hardly any froth as yesterday's dish water.
The only thing which we Belgians don't understand is that Inbev chose Stella as their one and only lager for export. Here in Belgium they make another one called Jupiller which is much nicer (it's probably the most popular beer of it's kind here) Stella's not bad but there are better

Urgh no! Bud really tastes like p*ss. Stella Artois is ok if you get the direct import. Amstel's good. Over here in SA, I prefer drinking Windhoek lager.
But I'm really more partial to ales, Guinneas, Kilkenny, etc.

No, but not a beer drinker. Will enjoy a Dos Equis or Corona w/lime & salt in the hottest part of the summer. My favorite - Nelson's Blood at the Lord Nelson Pub in Sydney - too bad I'm in Houston.

White beer is nasty, especially Hoegaarden. Bud is OK, but not great. Ottakringer (Austria) is really good, and honestly I've grown to like Amstel, its my favorite of the stand-by beers.

Good grief no for either, Bud is like p.iss, Stella the wife beater is way too hoppy and acidic, the best of all is Hoegaarden
