Shouldn't we live in a society wear children shouldn't be forced to be taught that we "evolved" from monkeys?

We need to collectively ask ourselves the question, "is the children learning?"

Perhaps when idiots like you remove your collective heads from your collective butts the world would look upon you as people who have finally come to their senses.

Children are forcibly taught science... though it's worth mentioning of course that nobody can be taught anything forcibly... there has to be student participation. Evolutionary theory (ie, the origin of species (which is distinctly different from the origin of life) is science. Creattionism is not.. it's religion, and if anywhere, it should be taught in a religion or philosophy class. Likewise, Intelligent Design is not science, though it is a philosophy and/or spiritual belief that could be taught in a religion or philosophy class.

I would argue a different question... rather than what your rights are as a christian parent, what about the right of the child to learn everything available (including both evolution and creationism) and form his or her own views on the subject?

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity." -- Anne Coulter, Christian Peace Activist

Conquer,Convert or kill them.

"The three-in-one/one-in-three mystery of Father, Son and Holy Ghost made tritheism official. The subsequent almost-deification of the Virgin Mary made it quatrotheism . . . Finally, cart-loads of saints raised to quarter-deification turned Christianity into plain old-fashioned polytheism. By the time of the Crusades, it was the most polytheistic religion to ever have existed, with the possible exception of Hinduism.

This untenable contradiction between the assertion of monotheism and the reality of polytheism was dealt with by accusing other religions of the Christian fault.

The Church - Catholic and later Protestant - turned aggressively on the two most clearly monotheistic religions in view - Judaism and Islam - and persecuted them as heathen or pagan.

The external history of Christianity consists largely of accusations that other religions rely on the worship of more than one god and therefore not the true God.

These “pagans” (Islam and Judaism) must therefore be converted, conquered and/or killed for their own good in order that they benefit from the singularity of the Holy Trinity, plus appendages." -- The Doubter's Companion (John Ralston Saul)

it somewhat is ultimate to no longer argue, by way of fact it somewhat is going to merely reason extra stress, make the two events the two indignant, remedy no longer something, and neither area will circulate into opposite. whether you quote the bible or say that God loves absolutely everyone they're going to merely quote a word from Leviticus, speaking approximately how homosexuality is faulty. the version is they safeguard a e book, you're protecting elementary sense and human rights. it somewhat is ultimate to merely forget approximately it, or in case you have the means to, with politeness ask them to circulate away and tell them that that kind of language isn't allowed on your bar. it somewhat is the comparable with bullies and trolls; they get their kicks by skill of seeing people's reactions. Ever heard the term "do no longer feed the trolls!"? do no longer supply them a reason to act worse and reason a combat. in case you forget approximately it it willl ultimately circulate away. it somewhat is the final factor to do. enable them to stay interior the delusional international.

Send your kid to a private Christian school if you don't like what is being taught in a public school.

That's why it's called a PUBLIC SCHOOL. Religion should have no place in public schools what so ever. It's not the school's responsibility to educate your children in regards to your faith. That is your responsibility.

You're the one that is supposed to take them to Church and teach them your religious beliefs and you should also be teaching them that they live in a free country where you have to learn to respect the views of others.

Why don't you just live with it. Tell your kids to memorize the information presented, pass the test, and move on. Why can't your views on the matter ever be: "Well, I learned about evolutionary theory in school, but my faith doesn't believe in it."

Why must you people always whine and complain and seek to abolish the teaching of evolutionary theory in public schools what about the rights of the people that believe in evolutionary theory? Oh.. that's right. You don't care about them.

It sickens me the way some Christians are incapable of seeing past their own religion.

If you want to live in ignorance, that's your prerogative.

But forcing your child to share your ignorance, without allowing him to make his own informed decision and without anyone speaking on his behalf, in unconscionable.

It's times like these where the state must step in to enforce certain basic standards of education.

The Theory of Evolution IS a theory -- the best explanation for the origins of life on Earth that is supported by the facts and is borne out through research and controlled experimentation.

Evolution is ALSO a fact -- the evidence for this process is inscribed in every cell of every organism that has ever lived on this planet.

It's amazing how some Christian love to act like martyrs, even tough they make up a large majority of the U.S. population.
