tactics are quite different now then they were even in the GW1. The Army has a war game developed to train infantry that is kept up-to-date which can be obtained by most anyone. Perhaps the place to start is to ask an Army recruiter about this game (especially if you are too young to be recruited!).

Besides the FM's out there on the net, try some games.
There are some "games" (they're more like simulators) out there that give you a shot at learning tactics. One is set during WWII, the "Brothers in Arms" series, you lead a fireteam or squad in small unit tactics. The tactics used then aren't too different from those used today. A more modern game is "First to Fight", you command a USMC fireteam in urban warfare in the Middle East. Another good one is "Full Spectrum Warrior", it covers modern squad-level tactics, it's not an action game, it's more like a wargame with a first-person perspective. These aren't books, but you learn by doing. And bad tactics will get you dead.

Join the Army!
They have a lot of referance material.
