probably, and then there will be something else that comes up that everyone will be going crazy over like this "living green" BS, until its proven, why buy into it? i know theyre saying the ice all over the world is melting and worries about polar ice caps, but what about the ice age? all that ice melted too, a long time ago, was it global warming then? just another way to make people scared all over the world and buy into the crap.

For many people the concept of global warming is a comparatively recent issue. However, within the scientific community it's been established for more than 100 years.
Whilst there may be media hype surrounding global warming, the scientific background to it is very firmly established and as such it's not something that's going to go away in five years. The media may lose interest but the reality of global warming will continue.

The hype hasn't gone away in 20 years, it won't be gone in five more or ever for that matter. As computer technology has increased over the last 20 years the argument has gotten even stronger each year.

Hype around El Nino?? El Nino is a natural thing that happens regularly regardless of human activity; even the crack scientists can believe that one.

NO!! Conservation has been around for as long as I remember. It's just this last few year with the throw away society it has become the problem has amplified.
I remember doing an art project on the subject matter when I was in 6th grade. I graduate High School in 85. Only back then they didn't call it global warming.

That you apparently think "el nino" is some past fad and not an actual phenomenon shows your subpar level of understanding of weather and climate.

I would preferably take the time to make some changes rather than be unprepared if something does happen.

one can only hope.
we survived the "ice age" prediction w/o dying. hopefully we can survive the "GW" predicition too.
this time around, there seems to be a lot more people falling for it.
the ultimate goal of these "scientists" is for humans to live in caves and be one with the enviroment.
