Most martial arts you can expect some difficulty with so I would pick an instructor that works well with his students and whose teaching style best accommodates you. You will only know that after you watch a couple of classes at each school that you are considering attending.

There are three ways people generally learn something. They are explanation or lecture, observation and demonstration and actually doing or hands on, or a combination of the two. See if you can figure out which one works best for you and then you will have an idea about how best to overcome some of the difficulty with which you learn things. A good teacher will usually use all three ways in teaching a technique since many students while learning the same technique actually process the information and learn the same technique differently.

All decent schools and instructors will have a curriculum that makes even the most complicated sysem of martial discipline, simple and easy for the beginning student. Your decision should be based on the quality of the instructor and the atmosphere in the school you will train in. That will really make the difference in whether you find it fun and easy to learn, or complicated and frustrating.

Everyone finds different arts appealing for different reasons, so it would benefit you to go by the schools in your area and spend some time to check them out and chat with the instructors and students. This will give you a better impression of what martial system may interest you, and which instructor and school you'd feel most comfortable working with.

Good luck !

I began Taekwondo 12 years ago. And now I am 22 years old.
I am getting ready to test for my Yellow Belt next month. I have already achieved 3 red stripes. I go to TKD 3 days a week. Tuesday,Thursday, and Friday.

TKD is the type of sport that a Beginner like you can work on.
All Martial arts are easy. But you need to be focused in class.
And practice what what was taught in class. But dont go over board, and hurt yourself.

So TAEKWONDO might be perfect for you. always ask queations if you dont know what to do.

All arts should be easy for a beginner to get. Hence the reason you're a beginner. You'll learn more difficult stuff as you progress.

As for which I would suggest, try TKD. But, that's what I teach, so my opinion is tainted...

Western Boxing.

Overhand (not so much), uppercut, jab, and hook (across is not a separate punch, just a hook over the opponent's punch).
That equals four moves, two out of eight limbs, no belts, kata, hyungs or forms, Dim Mak or pressure point techniques (cuz in a real fight you can't focus in on one single point on your opponent, that's why Small Circle JJ doesn't work).

And on a final note, Boxers could mop the floor with just about any other type of fighter, it's just that practical. Boxing's so easy to learn that Rocky can do it.

All true systems are designed for teaching. So, they should all be easy for beginners (or equally hard depending on your point of view).
Please look for a good school and not a good art.

Any form should start out fairly easy. There will be no form that is totally easy to learn the basics of though.

I'm not sure-but if you pay attention and practice Keichu Do is great-it's main focus is self defense, and it's a lot of fun.
