A boiled egg, with toast soldiers to dip in the runny yolk. Followed by cocopops. The inmates love it when the milk goes all chocolatey!

I hear they get a lot of vegetables that are boiled down to a mush and most of the meat they get served is ground pork and stuff like that because it is cheaper. Most US prisons have one day a week with good food being served. I am reading a book by an ex prison officer at Sing Sing who says that one day a week they get fried chicken and waffles. I read a while ago that at another US prison once a week they have sweetroll and donut day. On these days its common for somebody to try and take food off your plate. Some people allow it, others stick a fork in your eye!!!

Actually,they eat pretty good. Some penitentaries have farms on the properties. I know in Angola state penetintary in Louisiana. They eat full course meals all day long. They get fresh veggies from the gardens. They slaughter their own meat also. The prisoners work of the farm and the slaughter houses. So this morning,they will have a big breakfast. It's sad,isn't it. But it's the truth.

A good friend of ours works in the prison as a guard in the kitchen...it sounds like they eat pretty much anything you'd consider normal American breakfast items. I always kind of thought that prisoners were deprived of good stuff...but I think that's just in movies.

brk. 3 egg easy
2 strips of beacon
2 piece of whole wheat bread
as much milk as they like/coffee/tea
lunch turkey, ham, beef, chicken (organic of course) choice of sandwich on a sourdough bun.
chips of some kind
all the milk they can drink/tea/ or diet coke
dinner. steak, pork, chicken, turkey, (organic of course)
green beans, peas, broccoli (organic of course)
corn, succotash, and yellow veggie (organic of course)
potato's......(yep organic of course)
assorted deserts
all the milk, tea, coffee, or diet coke
And of course this is all eaten in the main mess hall with giant HD flat screens TV to watch...while eating.
