i think the force that drives evolution is survival. Organisms slowly change and adapt to their environment to ensure the species can continue.
I hope u realise that u've open yourself up for a whole lot of abuse from overbearing religious people who want to impose their views on u whether u like it or not. So good luck with that. I'm gonna give u a star to cheer u up when the abuse starts.

Natural selection. A genetic mutation that causes some survival benefits is more likely to remain in the next generation because of the fact that the mutated species is alive longer to breed etc. There are bad mutations and good mutations: but the good ones lead to more breeding, more living, and therefore those mutations get passed down. Force (mass times accelleration) doesn't come into it.

Yeah, there is no force that drives it. Nature just is, and you either adapt or you don't. There are mechanisms built into individuals that allow for changing, and there are obviously mechanical forces that drive the environment to change (none of which have to be from any supernatural origin).

Reproduction.
Cell replication is an energy expensive process that is not letter perfect. This energy comes principally from the Sun through photosynthesis but also from chemicals in volcanic vents. The infidelity in replication creates the variation which is filtered by natural selection.

mutation, selection, genetic drift... this is a puzzling question because you seem to imply that it should be difficult to answer but really it's not. evolutionary theory contains adequate descriptions of the 'forces' that drive evolution. there is no need for me to have a personal theory about it.

Well, I for one always liked the simple answer, and for me the answer to your question would have to be time, like some people say time changes everything. Or for one more example David Bowies song Changes, if I remember correctly one of the verses is "time may change me, but I can't change time".
Oh, and one other thing that just came to mind, throughout life are we not evolving, I mean in just one persons life-span, doesn't that person grow and evolve over the course of life.

There is no force. Evolution takes place over time by mutation and/or natural selection. You could say that time drives it or that life drives it, but isn't really driven.

I'm not quite sure, but I do wonder why a tree or an ant would WANT to evolve.. I mean really, does a tree have some kind of desire to survive? How can it want anything at all?

no 'force' as such, just the fact that everything needs to change slightly as the world it lives in changes around it. it is impossible for nothing to ever change, so evolution is inevitable, wherever you are
