Islam means to submit to the will of Almighty God. Every creation is in submission to Allah. The one who submits is called a Muslim The Sun and the Moon. The whole creation of Allah are submission to His Will and Plans. They do and act what they are created for. Except for a man who is given a free will to choose. So a baby has no free will to choose until he attains puberty or state of mind to understand things. So babies are born as Muslims or in their Fitra (the natural way as all God's creations are) and will deserve Paradise when dies. Since the baby or a child is in the state of sinless and pure form.
Prophet Muhammad pbuh said:
“The pen is raised from (the book) for three (individuals): the sleeper until he awakes, the child until he reaches puberty, and the insane until he regains sanity.”

In line with islamic teaching and it is stated in the holy Qur;an Surah 30 AR RUUM verse 30 that Allah created humans in a sacred condition with a tauhid religion.Tauhid religion means the oneness of God or monotheism.So all babies born are muslims.They have no sin since the new born babies up to grown up..Their parents and environment will make them jews,christians,muslims or other religion followers or even atheists.Their parents have the responsibility which should be accounted for to Allah the only one God.The sin of a child up to grown up will be born by their own parents,But after grown up they will bear their own sin and they will be accounted for by themselves to Allah..

Islam does not believe that mankind is born inheritantly evil and with a burden of some original sin.
In fact Islam says every child is born totally sinless and pure and if they were to die at any early age they would go to paradise without any accountability.
In Islam there is no concept of punishing a child for the sins of the father and there is no concept of lawful procreation(sex) being a dirty or sinful act.
Islam does not believe we are predisposed to commit sin and being imperfect creations, we are not predisoposed to absolute goodness either. On the contrary Islam says we have choice to obey or disobey God. The choice is ours either way equally. To predispose us to lean to one side would not be true freedom of choice or free will.
Islam believes that all disobedience is bad – Pride, lying, cheating etc. but mankind is not guilty until proven innocent. In Islam all are innocent until proven guilty. We are not born guilty of crimes but when we do commit crimes then there is forgiveness through repentance.
The way to atone for the sins is through sincere repentance to God directly without any priest or intercessor. God is the one who loves to forgive the sins of those who cry in repentance…..with broken hearts. This shows our humility and recognition of the Sovereignty of the Lord.
God is the one who gives strength to mankind to obey his laws and come closer to him. The only thing we need is the sincere heart felt desire and intention.
Accountability is started at the age of puberty – when children start to distinguish between right and wrong and can make choices.
Islam says that God created us and blew his spriit into our souls. If no evil were to tempt a man then he would perfectly recognize who the Lord is and submit in total obedience just as we will the second after we pass away.
Islam is therefore the effort to protect the heart and cultivate the goodness which is in every heart.
The heart is protected from outside corruption by obeying the Laws of God in every sphere of life - 24 hours a day (hadith and sunnah) and by bringing the correct understanding of the oneness of God and perfect Monotheism (as detailed in the Quran).

By definition Muslim.
Muslim means, who submits his or her will to the will of Almighty God. When a child comes to this world, does not comes with his or her will but the will of Almighty Allah (swt).
When a child grows, takes input from environment around, and mostly adopts what is closer to him or her.
as further grows, gets chance to see more bout life, after life, Religion and a enters in an ocean of information and knowledge. By using that information and knowledge it becomes his or her responsibility to chose correct path.
If he or she is on right path then to keep it, if different then revert to accept truth.
That is the reason every Muslim has this basic responsibility to call others towards truth and give proper guidance to others who are either away or going away from right path.
It is best mentioned in Surah Al Asar.

Many people don't know that an angel is not only that neutral creature made of light.. an angel is also a rank and title for pure people.
Iblis in some stage, before he disobey Allah was considered an angel because of his obedience and knowledge (1) (2) (3).
When a baby is born.. he's considered to be of that rank as he is completely pure and sinless (4), as humans are pure by Nature (5) till they mature and take the burden of sinning.
In a hadith of the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم he said: "The baby is born Muslim by nature (Fitra) even if his parents were non Muslims" (6) (7) (8) (9) .. when a baby dies.. he goes to heaven to become an "immortal youth" .. which is a creature like Hooris, not a human neither an angel, but something in between.

Most people do not know what dose it mean to be called a Muslim. To be a Muslim is to believe that there is one God who created everything alone and to be worship alone and he is the God of good and evil"will of God". New Born Babies if they die they go to haven if they stay a life they will be subject to God will of good and evil like everybody else.
GOD Laws are made of three Books: The Old Testament, The new Testament and Quran as a conclusion all originated from the middle east. How can you understand GOD LAWS with out reading GOD Conclusion?

Muslim means a person who submits his/her will to allah.
Do you think a baby submits his/her will to allah??? Of course not. A baby wants to drink milk and without it, will scream. Do you think that if this baby wants milk, but allah does not provide the baby will say oh allah, I forgive you!?
Please use some common sense okay?
A baby is born a baby. Neither muslim nor non-muslim. The baby only becomes a muslim when the parents INFECT his/her brain with the islamic virus and teaches him/her the nonsense in islam.
If a kid is taught from young that an old man who has sex with little infant girls is not a pedophile, that a person who murders people is a person of peace and allah will reward him/her, that a person who defends the devil is prophet material. Then, do you think that kid will ever grow up to be intelligent ??? Of course not!
If you are taught from young that black is white, and that a book is corrupted but you can use it for your own benefit, then are you building up your level of discernment or are you blinded/blurred since young?
Do you think that a being that rewards its followers for killing people and even offers them sex with 72 hori virgins is a god or a devil?
Of course the devil!

All children are born Muslim and are that way till the age of puberty. Of course they are still considered Muslim even if their parents are raising them in a different faith. After the age of puberty they are though of as adults and free to choose their own faith.

the original meaning of the word Islam means complete submission to the will of God...it only came to mean the name of the religion at some later point in time....God tells us that all human beings are created by Him and are meant to submit to only Him and worship only Him....all babies are born with this inate make-up....as a creation of God meant to worship and submit to only Him....then God tells us that our families, mom and dad etc, will either cause us to follow that path of complete submission to God throughout our lives or cause us to stray and believe and follow other paths....or not path etc.
The religion perse' of new born babies is to submit to God when they mature enough to make that decision.....while babies they are innocent of any beliefs and desires and maturity to be a follower of a religion...except passively.
