One of my mates begged me to introduce him to another friend of mine. I warned him that she had a bit of a history and i wasn't gonna set them up if it was gonna bother him. He said it wouldn't, however two weeks later he found out this girl has has slept with over 300 people and that she had a stint as a prostitute (that 300 doesn't count the "clients"). He now wants to break up with her. The girl has changed and isn't like that anymore, however my friend isn't listening and is using her past as an escuse. Is he wrong in doing so or do you think i feel that due to im on the outside of the relationship looking in and it is justifable reason to end the relationship?
To the girls credit she hasn't slept with anyone for over a year as part of a vow to clean herself up.

Well in defense of the girl. She has experience going for her and that means a lot in my book because I like a woman that can take me places I've never been. It seems like the more they've been around the block the better they satisfy me sexually. The down side is that you can never trust them to remain loyal to you and I have had quite a few std's because of this. They're definately not long term relationship material.

well all i have to say first is that i'm so proud of the girl!!! other than that. yea idk, your past actions, thought patterns, way of life haunts you for a long time. i'm sure she'll have trouble with it soon, and she probably already has had some huge temptations. 300+ people is a LOT. i'm sure she has some sort of STD, or two, or three. not saying that makes them a bad person, but idk i wouldnt go a guy who's slept around. i'd feel vulnerable and paranoid about being used. because you dont know how their past life has really been. you never know. she could actually be an amazing person now. idk. sorry. this was dumb. hope i helped at least a smidge.

Well if he's willing to risk the multitude of stds good for him. I however, don't blame him at all. That is disgusting.

Plus I would blame you for not getting more specific with "a bit of a history". 300 is nowhere near "a bit".

Sounds like an asshole to me. She's doing good on her part, he's the one falling short. Your girl is going to feel bad so let her know that even the people on Yahoo Answers think that guy is a jerk.

Good luck friend.

Dude, it sounds like he just wanted to sleep with her. I would just let things be. If he isnt such a great mate then confront him about it and tell him you warned him. He wont stay with her in the long run and so he might as well just do it now.

From a moral standpoint I would think she could be forgiveable, but so can he.

He also has a basis for concern that she could be a carrier for STD's.

Some people are not comfortable with a partner who has a "lot" of experience. I think you could get past that, but some people will never get past it.

Yes to that lady since she had "clients" before. In my opinion, your friend is not wrong and has justifiable reason.
As far as your last sentence, she is using that as an excuse. 300 + that's really bad.

i'm guessing by 'history' he thought about 50 guys and no prostitution. so when he learned the truth he freaked out. it would be very difficult for me personally to date an ex-prostitute. maybe she should keep her past to herself.

Its really hard to forget her past...Now its up to your friend to decide what to do with her..and its not your fault with what happened with their relationship.
