I am a Pastor or Minister or Evangelist or Brother or Mr. or Rev. or what ever you desire to call me, (but please don't call me late for dinner-hahaha).

I started out and grew up in the "organized" church, I no longer belong to an organized church or denomination, I was call to preach and do my duties as a minister by God, not by man or an organization.

I do not receive wages for my service, I do not take-up offerings and I do not teach tithing. The People are taught to "give" to those around who are in need.

(Freely I have received, freely I give).

I consider Christ to be the Savior and it is through His blood I am forgiven of my sins.

If you are a thinking adult you have embraced the Holy Scriptures because you have already investigated other writings claiming to be truth and returned to the Hebrew G-d for intellectual honesty. If you were born into the church surroundings like most Americans you were blessed with a headstart but must still decipher 'what is truth?' Same with Jews and Muslims. Being born into a religion does not make it truth. The true G-d is not intimidated by one reading about other beliefs but does warn the seeker that He is the only G-d that waits to be invited into one's life, then will not share the spot of Deity. Praise hasheem. I was born into a family of Roman Catholic father and So. Baptist mother (American) but in my teen years questioned both because they were at traditional odds with each other. In the process I researched all the known world religions until I was 25 seeking truth not dogma. By definition, I am a Christian because I believe Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah, but I attend services on Sabbat (Saturday) with Jewish believers (Messianic). I celebrate the feasts (not Christmas or Easter) and am learning Hebrew to read and interpret the scriptures first hand. Although if you have 2 rabbis you'll get 3 opinions! Meaning they will not draw conclusions for you only share what is known on any subject. Without having looked into other religions I doubt if I would of recognized the truth, wisdom and authority of the Bible. Hope that answers your question. Shalom.

I don't attend a church, although I consider myself Christian. I just remember Jesus saying somewhere (not sure of the verse or the exact wording, but the paraphrase is basically): Where two or more are gathered in my name, there is my church.
I have investigated a few other spiritual paths, including Magick and Pagan philosophies and Eastern traditions which have, in my opinion, brought me a greater understanding of my own core beliefs, which I have long-since realised are not exactly mainstream.

Unfortunately a lot of people do not realize Christianity is black and white..you are in or you are out. There is only one way to salvation, and either you want to keep growing and learning more about God or you don't ...The right church is vital in helping you grow as a believer (when I say you I mean Christians in general)...People just don't want to get up in the morning and they don't want to make giving God 2hours of your week a priority..

We are not to keep an open mind with other philosophies, we can respect and be kind to people with other beliefs- which we are supposed to do.. However one cannot call themselves a Christian and pick and choose which parts they want to follow and mix in other religions with it.. It just doesn't work that way. I believe there is a difference in being ignorant and open minded... I think we should definitely study other religions, and know what other people believe, other wise how are we supposed to approach them and show them the love of Christ if we cannot answer simple questions. We can accept and love people that believe differently while not compromising our beliefs.

NO, I am a Christian who attends Church. It is hard to be Christian and not attend church because we are to keep the Sabbath holy by the means that Jesus left us( breaking bread in remembrance of him).I see nothing wrong with incorporating other stuff into your own spirituality along with attending church weekly but God and Jesus were both clear on the expectations of Christians.

Does a person who believes in God have to attend a church service to commune with God? No.- Is God a cheerleader for organized religion? Probably not!- A Christian with an open mind toward other philosophies is a rare and wonderful thing, in my experience! God/Goddess bless them! -- Blessings.

No I don't really go to church, but I am friends with all of them. Catholics, Presbyterians, Baptists, Lutherans, Biblical Unitarians, Seventh Day Adventists, conservative Quakers. I will attend any of their meets, but I do not adhere to any one denomination or church. Also I am fond of secular Buddhism and Taoism, and I am eager to make friends with Muslims and Jews. The Muslims and Jews I have met have been really nice people.

I've been reading through 1st and 2nd Kings, 1st and 2nd Samuel, and 1st and 2nd Chronicles in the Bible-- and they show just what you are describing.

There were some kings who served G-d and trusted Him with all their hearts.

There were others who served Him half-way and also worshiped at pagan shrines-- or they destroyed some of the shrines and left others for people to continue their idolatry at.

Yeshua (Jesus) said These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits [fn2] of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. 3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

and

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the congregations .”

and

The Narrow Door
22 Yeshua went through the towns and villages, teaching as he went, always pressing on toward Jerusalem. 23 Someone asked him, "Lord, will only a few be saved?"
He replied, 24 "The door to heaven is narrow. Work hard to get in, because many will try to enter, 25 but when the head of the house has locked the door, it will be too late. Then you will stand outside knocking and pleading, `Lord, open the door for us!' But he will reply, `I do not know you.' 26 You will say, `But we ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' 27 And he will reply, `I tell you, I don't know you. Go away, all you who do evil.'
28 "And there will be great weeping and gnashing of teeth, for you will see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets within the Kingdom of God, but you will be thrown out. 29 Then people will come from all over the world to take their places in the Kingdom of God. 30 And note this: Some who are despised now will be greatly honored then; and some who are greatly honored now will be despised then. "

and

Mat 22:37 Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Are you doing that?

Would your husband be content to have your love one or two nights a week while you ran around the rest of the time?

G-d is calling you into a dedicated real relationship full of integrity with Himself.

Is He trustworthy?

Or are you making Yeshua just another prophet (when He doesn't leave that option open)?

My cousin does. She married a non-Christian.
I don't understand it. Christ is the Way, the Truth & the Life.
How can you have room for "other philosophies" if you believe that?!
