My mum is having hard times.. I don't have any $ myself but I want to help her out as much as possible. I have around $400 left over a month after rent and bills but I still need $ for gas and food. I don't want to be "cheap" but I still want to eat and live a normal life. Thanks.

There's a chance that your mother won't want to take your money. If you really want to help her out, maybe you could just show up once a week with some groceries? Or you could offer to pay her electricity bill for awhile? Either one could run you around 100-150...and really, if you still need to eat and buy gas, you won't have much more than that left over anyway. I commend you for helping her out. That's really thoughtful!

Can you two live together??? You can help each other out...My mom and i share a house (we both own it) I love it, so does she...We have more of a friend type relationship....
If not, give what you can...$400 dollars left over, you may need it for gas and food, you have to eat....

My fiance and I are having hard time and instead of my mom just giving us money she takes us grocery shopping, pays for gas on occasion, buys us new things. Something to let us know that she is helping without making us feel bad for just taking her money.

Well, she did feed you through thick and thin when you were a baby.

Your life is worth nothing without you helping your mother out.Cut down on some bills and give her at least $500 per month!

Yeah, Im in the same boat you are, I just try to give my mom as much as I can..I also have two kids so its hard, but she raised me and so I feel like I owe her in a way..It's tough but if it was the other way around, I know she'd do it for me.

It depends how much of a hard time she is having. If you can, just make sure she is not hungry and her bills are paid.Other than that, things can wait.I mean buying new clothes, getting her hair done, etc.
