If it is a pet bird, take it to your avian veterinarian.

If it is a wild bird, get it to a licensed wildlife rehablitator. You can find one here: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.htm

These people have special training to care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. They have state and federal licenses allowing them to keep the animals until they are healthy enough for release.

Well you don't say what kind of bird this might be. Is it a wild bird, or a pet bird?

If it is a pet bird , then valgergydja gave you the perfect answer- Get it to the vet as soon as you can. Any delay in getting a baby bird with a broken wing to the vet can result in a total loss of its ability to fly!

If it is a wild bird then you need to call your State Department of Natural Resources ( Fish and Game ) . In most states it is illegal to take in a wild bird even if it is hurt. But the Fish and Game Department will usually have trained wildlife rehabilitaters who are trained to take in the bird, give first aid, and then successfully return it to the wild.

Get the baby bird to an avian vet immediately. Hopefully the vet will be able to repair any wing damage and check for other problems the baby may be masking. Otherwise there could be serious permanent damage to the wing and baby and greater odds of further injury in the future when it's handled.

Good luck to you and the little one.

Birds with broken wings need assistance as soon as possible. Bird bones begin to calcify quickly after an injury. If a bird’s bone heals incorrectly, it will be unable to fly. This bird needs to be captured and transported to a wildlife rehabilitator for help. Call a wildlife rehabilitator for help and instructions as soon as possible.

call the local National Wildlife Service office (I think that's the name of it...), and they can direct you as to what to do. Some people are trained to do wildlife rehab.
