This concerns the concept of the Trinity. For more information on that, consider this:

http://www.catholic.com/library/Trinity.asp

This is quite a bit of reading to get through (well actually only one page..but with a lot of what could be foreign terms..), but I think that the last two paragraphs sum it up quite well.

"Do christians beleive that Jesus is God?"
Most Christians believe this, yes.

"I thaough that Jesus and God were two seperate....things. I here some people say that Jesus is God, "
Jesus is God, who became a man. It was planned that way. One of the things we get into in Biblical Studies is the 'Kinsman Redeemer" which is typified in the Book of Ruth. And throughout the Old Testament, and certain places in the New Testament, God is called: God our Redeemer, God is our Salvation. There is much to study on these things. Do you have the time?

"but that why does the bible say he sent his son (Jesus) to save us? "
Because that's what He did. God set it up in the Old testament, that's why the Jews were looking for a Messiah and Elijah in the time of Jesus. They knew, but they could not accept that Jesus was the one. Even today, many Jews do not understand that they missed the Messiah, and God TOLD THEM THEY WOULDN'T!

That's one of the amazing thing about all of this: God keeps His promises. And there is nothing that anyone can do about it.

Jesus Christ is the father. He was actually God himself manifest in the flesh to appear in the image of his son. Notice the word image. That was all he was, only an image of his son. The bible clearly says the father was only an image of his son. Image is a likeness , not the actual.
The bible says that the human body is actually only a suit. The human body is a room that houses the soul.
Jesus Christ was only an actor. God the father appeared in the image of his son, so that he'll be able to put his real son on the earth in the future, the last days. That way God can put his son on the earth and not one man would believe him. Why would no man believe him? because the people will be convinced that the real son had already walked the earth.
When Jesus Christ the father was born on the earth, an angel, Mary, Joseph, and the 3 wise men knew what day he was born on the earth, as well as, knew he was on the earth from the time of his birth till he was 30 something.
The bible says no man or angel will know his son had been born on the earth. and only God will know his son is living on the earth among the people for the first 30 something years.
When Jesus spoke he spoke, like an actor would speak, in the place of his son. The person he's portraying, his son.
Just as the bible says, Jesus Christ actually was the father, not the son, but only an image of the son.
One of the false teachings in the last days, is that God and his son are one in the same. They're not.
God and his real son are separate individuals.
Like Jesus said, "I have come before the one who sent me.".
Only the father knows who the son is. Only the son knows who the father is.
Since Jesus Christ is the father and only the son knows who the father is, then it could only have been his son who sent Jesus to the earth. Adam was God's son.
God's son will return in the last days to harvest the crop he tilled. God told Adam to till,
Jesus said God's son is in heaven. Jesus also said, "If you have seen me, then you have seen the father.
Jesus, being an actor, spoke in the place of his son.
The bible doesn't say God sent Jesus. People assumes that .

While Jesus is often called the Son of God in the Bible, nobody in the first century ever thought of him as being God the Son. Even the demons, who "believe there is one God," knew from their experience in the spirit realm that Jesus was not God. So, correctly, they addressed Jesus as the separate "Son of God." (James 2:19; Matthew 8:29) And when Jesus died, the pagan Roman soldiers standing by knew enough to say that what they had heard from his followers must be right, not that Jesus was God, but that "certainly this was God's Son."—Matthew 27:54.

Hence, the phrase "Son of God" refers to Jesus as a separate created being, not as part of a Trinity. As the Son of God, he could not be God himself, for John 1:18 says: "No one has ever seen God."—RS, Catholic edition.

The disciples viewed Jesus as the "one mediator between God and men," not as God himself. (1 Timothy 2:5) Since by definition a mediator is someone separate from those who need mediation, it would be a contradiction for Jesus to be one entity with either of the parties he is trying to reconcile. That would be a pretending to be something he is not.

The Bible is clear and consistent about the relationship of God to Jesus. Jehovah God alone is Almighty. He created the prehuman Jesus directly. Thus, Jesus had a beginning and could never be coequal with God in power or eternity.

You have the Almighty Creator Jehovah God and then you have his only begotten son of God Jesus.

If you can get a expounded dictionary with the Greek and Hebrew text you will find that the definition of Jesus names means
helper of Jah or salvation of Jah.
Jah being short for Jehovah Psalms 68:4

Only begotten or to beget means first born or first born of creation.

So we find that Jesus was the only begotten son of God or he was the first creation that Jehovah created before he created anything else.

Jesus has a lot of titles, but one title he does not have and that is Almighty God.

If you look up the definition of Hallelujah you will find that it means " pray ye Jehovah not prays ye Jesus like most peole think. Did you note at the end of tha word Hallelujah is JAH.wich is the almighty God.

The chuches hide this so they can teach the trinity doctrin. When you give the title Lord to Jehovah and Jesus then you don't know who's talking to who such as in the case of Psalms 110:1 so it sound like Jesus is God

But note Psalms 110:1 it says in the King James version that " the Lord said unto the Lord sit at my right hand until I put my enimies under your feet. WHAT? Is God talking to himself saying SELF? sit at my right hand ? NO!
It should say as the living Bible brings out,
Jehovah said unto Jesus, " Sit at my right hand and I will put my enimies before your feet. And thats where Jesus is now , sitting at Jehovah's right hand ready to exicute God's judgment to all the ungodly people on the earth. And then God's Kingdom will take over with Jesus ruling as King at the right hand of his father. Then the earth will be turned back to the paradise it was orinally intended for with all those who desire to live under that Kingdom arrangment of things.

Hope I have been of some help, if you need more help I can send you some information.
Sincerely yours,
Fred M. Hunter

Jesus is the Son of God. No one goes to the Father expect through Him.

We pray to the Heavenly Father through the Lord Jesus.

Jesus is still a divine entitity. More than a prophet like what the Muslims claim.

God is Trinity----one God made of 3 persons, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. They are in essence the same, always in agreement, equal in power.
God is one God, not one person.
The Bible teaches that God is 3 persons.

Jesus and God are the same. They are both God - God the Father, and God the Son of the Holy Trinity. They are not two different personalities or modes, but separate persons, each fully God. I know it's confusing. I barely understand it myself but the Holy Trinity is a mystery that is beyond human understanding.

Jesus is a prophet sent by the god to the earth, so therefore jesus is a human being but people respect him as a god.
The reason why people respect him as a god is, because he had helped & done allot of good deeds to people during his time.
