There are slight variations depending on the state and county. Call the county courthouse for the city you're planning to get married in. They will tell you all the things you need to bring.

i just filled out an application for mine on monday and all she asked to look at was our drivers license and our social security cards. but i think it differs from state to state. Also here, you have to wait 3 days to get the actual license. So we are going back today to pick them up.

I believe you need your birth certificate and some other form of identification like a passport or driver's license. Otherwise call town hall where you live and they will tell you what you need.

depending on the sate, it will vary, but generally you need to go to the office of the registrar with about $75 and the person you want to marry. both of you need to take all forms of ID you have, as well as birth certificates. call your office of registrar for exact details, but that's what is generally needed.
