That is just wrong if a parent does do that. If you have children you should all your children equally. That causes emotional problems for the other children who feel less love. I do see alot of parents that do favor one child over the other, which is wrong too. I only have the one child so she has nothing to worry about.

All children have different personalities and different traits so on some days you might prefer one to another but I know I would die for my kids so yes I have to say that I love them all equally.

I love both my children dearly, BUT my son is very easy to love as he is an easygoing placid child that rarely gets into mischief yet my daughter is harder to love sometimes as she is headstrong, stubborn and a tantrum thrower!
This doesn't mean that I love her any less but sometimes you think, "I might love you but I don't like your behaviour much today" and that is completely understandable and normal from where I am sitting. Its not a matter of how much you love your children its how hard it can be to like them and their behaviour sometimes. I know that in order to have a happy home where its easy to love everyone, I have to be a different parent to her and put actions into place that compliment her personality while still coming across as 'fair' to my son.

My mom favours my older sister, but I can kind of see why she does; my sister is outgoing, a dancer, great cook, and getting a 4.0 at college, and here I am, the creepy little artist all in black at the back of the room. Word to the wise, if that sounds like your kids, don't favour either one, you're just setting them up for emotional problems. There's no worse feeling in the world than knowing that your mom likes your sister more than you.

I have two and I love them equally. When I was pregnant with my second, I was worried that I wouldn't love her as much as my first, but I do. You never run out of enough love I guess.
