I'm sorry about your dad's job, but I don't think you can stop being worried. It's only human nature! How old are you? and can you help out by working or something?
Everything happens for a reason, God is testing you and your courage and patience, leave it to God and things will eventually work out.

You don't mention your age.
While it may stress your parents out some, they see this coming and they can make preparations. Your dad can get his resume together and start working on getting the next job. In the meantime, you dad will be getting unemployment benefits, which will still be some money coming in, but not necessarily the same amount.
What can you do? Quit worrying. Your parents have been through this before! Show them you have absolute confidence in dad!
If he doesn't know how, you can help your dad find employment listings on-line, and help him navigate Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com

The other thing you might think about doing is come up with something you can do to make some money, at least to take care of your own needs while your dad looks for another job, or be able to put some money into the family budget if ever needed. Doing something useful like that will also take your mind off worrying and give you confidence of you own!

What can you do? Babysitting? Dog walking? Newspaper route? Rake-up and bag leaves? Weed flowerbeds? Heck, if you get a number of neighbors all using your services, you can really stay busy.

it's alright, it's alright. it won't be the end of the world. my mom just recently lost her job too, you guys just have to try to look for another job.

check job sites and the newspaper immediately for sites...or i heard there's like financial aide for this kind of stuff.

but you have to ask around..depends on if he's getting laid off, i guess.

but it's not the end of the world, you guys'll get through it.

hope you well!
