its because guys who can make a girl laugh usually can make something that is very boring very fun. not to brag, but im a fairly funny guy and i find ways to make girls laugh and they all love me for it. i wasnt always funny tho, if u arent funny and u want to be funny, hangout with some guys who u know are funny and act a bit like them. be yourself, but use them to better yourself if u know wat i mean. but girls love a guy who is himself whether hes funny or not.

Evolution.
Women are attracted to men that make them feel comfortable, safe, secure, etc. Men who have no sense of humor are going to be more prone to violence and stress. Stress takes a toll on the body and can reduce your lifespan, cause miscarriages and affect the health of children. Evolutionarily, women who choose men who make them laugh and feel comfortable are less likely to have stressful, violent relationships and more likely to have healthy children. Therefore, the children of women who are attracted to funny men are more likely to survive and reproduce as well (and those daughters are genetically pre-dispositioned to be attracted to funny men and the cycle continues). Thus, the total population of women in modern times is generally more attracted to men with a sense of humor than men who do not make them laugh.

Because a sense of humour signals an higher level of understanding of the world and is thus an indication of intelligence. Also, humour is a form of charm that makes people like someone, like a child is charming when it says or does things that are clumsy yet funny and cute.

Don't you like it when someone makes you laugh or smile?!
It also shows that he isn't always SO serious. I wouldn't want a guy who can't take a joke or laugh at himself when he falls down.

laughter is contagious. laughing makes a girl feel good. its not good to take life so seriously. laughter is just the best medicine. laughing makes me feel happy and happiness is key to a relationship. if i am not happy i am out im done im gone and thats that
