cleansing diets are pointless at best, harmful at worst.

One of the most effective diets I have seen is one called "Fat Flush Plan" by Gittleman.
Basically it is cleansing because it cleans and tones the liver, which is most people's trouble. It features a range of specific recommendations to optimize liver function so your entire digestive tract will work better. It relies heavily on home-made no-sugar sauces and salad dressings made from simple ingredients, simple meats and vegetable dishes, with a percentage of the veggie dishes being raw and some being lightly cooked. It also removes most grain products, breads and pastas from the diet while the detox is going on.
The cool thing is that this is very safe, and of all things, is also an excellent stepping stone towards the next stage for a lot of people... the raw foods diet.

There is the basic book and a very nice cookbook for this plan, and it has a lot of really good research behind it.

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at http://www.fit-thin.info where they have a free trial and you only pay 4.95$ shipping and handling.
Good luck!

Muscle does not turn to fat. Fat cells are fat cells, muscle cells are muscle cells.
The cleansing diets are very rough on your body, especially the intestines. According to drs. they do more harm than good. The only diet that works is to eat less calories than you burn off. Exercise more, eat less. End of story. Not easy and not a gimmick but it works.

It really depends on the type of cleanse you do. Try a 7-day herbal cleanse for the best results with no muscle loss.
