Alot of us tend to get this idea(from i don't know where) that the forbidden fruit Adam and Eve, which God warned them about was an apple. You can never find that in the bible. I promise you. The bible said she ate a FRUIT, not an apple. It's sad because even churches are teaching this concept to its congregation, kids including. So just to educate everyone, christians and non christians, followers of Christ and atheists Adam and Eve never ate an apple which caused them to be cursed out of the garden. We'll never know what kind of fruit it is until the coming of the Lord.

that's in basic terms pointing out the character of guy whilst it is composed of taking accountability and accountability. As Eve pointed the serpent for tempting her and so did Adam looking fault from Eve for his disobedience. this is no longer the forbidden fruit that's the actual situation, it must be some thing else and the element is guy's lack of ability to take accountability at as quickly as. although, because of the fact the Serpent has been the religious image of early adult males earlier than Adam and Eve, the Tree of know-how depicted there must be the classic getting to understand which they weren't allowed to comprehend yet till an appointed time. you're able to be able to ask how the hell did i comprehend? nicely, examine the debts of Cain being punished by using God by using going exterior the backyard and Cain reported with regard to the folk who might even see him wandering around could kill him. those have been the folk with diverse traditions and perception.

There has been some speculation that the "forbidden fruit" was a pomegrante, since pomegrantes are native trees to the geographical location and apples are not, but it was possible the fruit was a fig, since that was the only "fruit" that was actually mentioned in the bible.

We are not aware of this. As you say, nowhere does it say apple. It also specifically does not say "not an apple". It does not say fruit but rather "Of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat". That does not describe an actual fruit, although it could be. I take issue with your claim. My church never taught the apple theory. We were told the importance was God commanded a simple thing which was disregarded.
Oh and the tree that is locked away is the tree of Life, of which they were commanded to eat.

At the comming of the lord the last thing I will be concerned about is what kind of fruit Adam and Eve ate.

My point is that the fruit is in your life, and it is whatever you make it. Sometimes it ranges from drugs, to sex, to alchol, and Satan just sits there tempting you to eat that fruit.

most people who have REALLY read the Bible will know that the use of the apple as the forbidden fruit is fallacious.

The word "apple" never appears in that section (nor does the Hebrew word for Apple in the original text)

The Hebrew word for "fig" referring to the type of plant used to make rudimentary clothing IS used.

since you dont know what kind of fruit was consumed, how do you know it wasnt an apple? you are correct though in that we wont know until we meet our maker just what the fruit the adam and eve consumed was. we do know that it came from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil though.

ok, so u r being anal on the exact fruit that was eaten. but why?

If you got to qtn the religious teachings, why stop at the apple,

what about a whole civilization starting with just two ppl??? and we you worry about counsins getting it on????

The whole bible is a metaphor and as such should be taken - so why look into details - spend your energy learning from them

Very true. And on that note, I suggest reading 'His Dark Materials' it's a series by Phillip Pullman, and it is based on religion and churches. Once you read it, you'll be thinking 'What if..." for a day or two.
