The Democrats are terrified of a victory in Iraq. And they are not interested in running the country as much as they are in the political theater of their meaningless 'hearings.'
A case in point is the Walter Reed scandal. The Democrats held 'hearings' in order to score political points - but never allocated one penny to repair the buildings.

Democrats can't win this war. Republicans can't win this war.
Reader can't win this war. The only winners are those salting away vast earnings in offshore banking accounts. Got one?
It is past time to investigate what is presently a matter of public record. Suggest Dick Cheney walk the plank first so
he isn't can't pick new office the same way he was 'selected'
for Vice President. After impeachment I'd like the UN to run
up to the White House with two International Arrest Warrents for War Crimes.

Stopping criminals, including Bush.
It is impossible for us to "win" the Iraq occupation -- we have no agenda there, no goals, no milestones -- so there is nothing we can accomplish or fail to accomplish.
The only "win" in Iraq is if the Iraqi govt can create peace -- and that's not something we can do, and that's not something that can be accomplished by the use of force. So, there is absolutely nothing that Congress can do to "win" the occupation in Iraq -- it's a meaningless term.
So, they should be doing their job and stopping the people in the Bush regime who are making a mockery of our constitution and who are constantly violating federal laws.

I think esuring victory (of any type) in Iraq should be a priority. We (soldiers) have a job to do and we have had it with these bullshit politicians (Democrat and Republican) bickering at eachother and getting nothing done. All that politics accomplish in warfare is get soldiers killed that didnt need to be.

If Bush doesn't wanted to be investigated, why doesn't his administration comply with congressional subpoenas and show that there is nothing to investigate???
