It's not the meal that will make him happy. It's that YOU cooked it for him and cared enough to do it. Rub his shoulders a little before you serve it. You are right in that it's the LITTLE things that count.

Try your own cooking first! You might want to have someone else help you if it is your first time! Cooking is an art, not given to everyone. If you do cook, make sure to make a salad and a simple dessert like chocolate strawberries. For recipes try Kraft.com. Always have money to order a backup meal just in case dinner doesn't come out right!
