Paul. He created a religion called Christianity.

Well Christianity began on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 when the Holy Ghost fell in the upper room. There really wasnt a single leader but I would say that the 12 apostles and Paul would be considered the leaders of the church.

Jesus Christ - he taught 12 disciples whom he sent out... Peter began to establish the Church after Jesus died and then Paul carried on missionary work throughout the world and continued to build and admonish the Church...

Jesus Christ is the leader we follow him alone and take the advise of those whom he communicated to...
