i'm in the process of recovering right now. I had a rash that spread into a large oval shape with a bite scab in the center. No Bull's eye rash. It actually itched and I thought it was a mosquito bite until I woke up a few days later with a sore throat, fever, aches, fatigue and persistent headache with a stiff neck. I've had the rash for over a month which now is almost gone but it actually darkened in the center and formed the bull's eye right before it faded altogether. My original titer was negative but fortunately my MD agreed to start me on the correct antibiotics for Lyme. Unfortunately my headaches (like a bad migraine and stress headache combined) worsened and remained until just this week so I've been out of work since early July. We will repeat the titer 6-8 weeks later but note if you have any symptoms see your doctor. Up to 50% or more never experience a rash and find they have the other symptoms in the later stages which takes longer to treat. I never saw the tick but I have no doubt it is Lymes. There is a high rate of false (+) and (-) results for blood work. The symptoms should be treated. Do a Google search for Lyme disease and you'll see all kinds of stories. It's better to be safe than sorry.
ps: I live in PA near a county with the highest Lyme rate in the state and a Neurologist last week told me that it is very rare to get a tick bite with Lyme in this state. He did not want to know my full history and never asked me to describe my headaches which he was consulted to treat. He ordered Pamelor for me and never even looked at the rash. Needless to say I will not return to him. You would really need to find a "LLMD-- Lyme Literate MD" . it amazes me how many doctors do not know anything about this after all these years. Btw I am a Nurse and still managed to have this experience. It's really quite sad.

Many, many different symptoms. Among them: rashes, flu-like symptoms, joint pain. But you could have completely different symptoms and it could still be Lyme. Or it could be what are called "co-infections," other diseases that come along from the tick bite (with or without Lyme.) Educate yourself:
