Well, does he? Please keep in mind that I am a 14 year old impressionable kid. I just want to know the truth.

That is for you to decide for yourself. Read up on all the major religions. Don't be afraid to ask questions- but don't just take anyone's word for it. This is a matter of faith, and the only one who can decide what you believe is you.
Good luck on your journey!

Go to the library and check out the book Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah. It's a small book & u can read it in a day. It'll open your mind to really think... bout things. It's fun reading too, not stuffy or boring at all!! I believe God exists within all of us. :)

First of all how could anyone answer that when there is no-one who can tell you how to make a leaf or a flower. They claim to know the answers but they made up the answers to shove them down your throat and brain wash you into believing, not whether there is a God, but to control your thoughts and give them money.

Having said that, until someone can tell me how to make a flower, I have to believe there is a God. He or she or it is just not found in the feeble words of what we call religion. He or she or It is found in the depths of your soul.. You already know the answer.

This is my opinion are best guess. Noone knows don't let them convince you they do...

I notice this is your first question - nice to meet you. (It seems your name should be "Seeking")

Anyway you are going to see a lot of arguments for and against the concept of god on this site. Since you are only 14, I suggest you go to the library and get a book about all the religions of the world. Take your time to read about all the different things there are. Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe in the same god - but they have a lot of different ways of going about it. Hindus have hundreds of gods. Buddhism follows the way of Buddha, who was not a god - he was a man. Here's a list of humorous short list of definitions of a bunch of religions -

Confucianism- Confucius say, "Crap happens."
Buddhism- If crap happens, it isn't really crap.
Zen Buddhism- What is the sound of crap happening?
Hinduism- This crap happened before.
Mormonism- This crap is going to happen again.
Islam- If crap happens, it is the Will of Allah. Take a hostage.
Stoicism- This crap is its own reward.
Protestantism- Let this crap happen to someone else.
Calvinism- Crap happens because you don't work hard enough.
Pentecostalism- In Jesus' name, heal this crap!
Catholicism- Crap happens because you deserve it.
Judaism- Why does this crap always happen to me?
Zoroastrianism- Crap happens half the time.
Marxism- This crap is going to hit the fan.
Atheism- No crap.
Seventh Day Adventist- No crap on Saturdays.
Existentialism- Absurd crap.
Agnosticism- What is this crap?
Nihilism- Who gives a crap?
Deconstruction- Crap happens in hegemonic meta-narratives.
Christian Science-Crap is in your mind.
Moonies- Only happy crap really happens.
Jehovah's Witnesses- Knock, Knock, crap happens.
Scientology- Crap happens on page 152 of Dianetics by L. Ron Hubbard
Hare Krishna- Crap happens, Rama Rama Ding Dong.
Hedonism- There's nothing like a good crap happening.
Taoism- Crap happens.

If you're 14 you are old enough to start thinking for yourself. Try to find some evidence that any god existed outside of story books and you will have your answer.

First, you have to define the term "God." The problem with most theists is that this term is a moving target.

In addition, because there is no evidence either for or against the existence of God, you cannot use deductive logic (a+b=c; therefore c-b=a). You can only reach a conclusion by inductive reasoning using the balance of evidence (90% of A is also B; C is B, so the chances are 90% that C is also A).

So to begin with, I will assert (and others may shoot this down) that the only RELEVANT definition of God states that GOD INTERVENES TO CIRCUMVENT NATURAL LAWS.

If God circumvents natural laws, then it becomes impossible to understand natural laws. All scientific findings would have to include the stipulation, "It is also possible that these results are an act of God, a miracle, thereby making our research meaningless."

However, we have been able to expand our knowledge of natural laws (evidenced by every appliance in your kitchen). Therefore, because the scientific method leads to applicable discoveries, and the likely conclusion is that God, at least the intervening kind, does not exist.

Additionally, if God is defined as all loving, all powerful, and all knowing, then it is impossible to explain suffering. Either God is not all loving (he acts sadistically), not all powerful (he cannot prevent suffering), or not all knowing (he created suffering by mistake because he didn't know the consequences of his actions). A God who is not all-loving, all-powerful or all-knowing is also not sufficient for the definition of God, because any God that fails to meet these criteria becomes bound by rules that are greater than God.

If God is bound by external rules and/or does not intervene in our existence, then God is either non-existent or irrelevant. The classic Bertrand Russell argument is that I cannot prove that a china teapot is orbiting the sun between the earth's orbit and Mars. But while I cannot prove this is not true, the evidence against it is compelling.

The evidence against God is equally compelling, and while it is not possible to prove beyond any doubt, it makes enormously more sense to live your life as if there were no God.

It is more compelling to me that humans have invented God (a) to help people deal with the pain and fear associated with death and loss, and (b) to reflect the thoughts of the ruling powers in a particular time. Humans are always searching for explanations. When none were found, it was the natural inclination to declare that the cause of the unexplained was "God" (or gods). As the faith grew, miracles (coincidences) and laws were ascribed to this Divinity, and an orthodoxy grew up around it.

Now it seems unhelpful to believe in such superstition. The only matters that aid in our ongoing well-being are work, location, health, sustenance, and pure, blind luck.

So no, I don't believe God exists. And you know what? It's okay if you do believe God exists.

You know, it really doesn't matter. If God exists, well yippeeyiyo! If not, well what's the difference? You will live, laugh, cry, and die either way. It's you who is in charge at the end of the day, so live the best life that you can, try not to hurt anyone and leave it cleaner than you found it .

Yes he does exist. And if you decide to study your bible then there's a chance that you Will meet him some day. You can't see him right now because if he would appear to you, you may drop dead at his feet because he has so much glory and power. One day you will put on a new body and you will be standing in his presence and you will see him as he is.
