For eg. if there are 2 people from different churches come up to me and ask similar question and should I take it as a message from God?

I am troubled as I can't really figure if I am called to priesthood or marriage life.

I been longing to be a loving and faithful husband and good father since I am 15 and now I am 34. This is something I hold firmly.

Yet strangely I can't help but wonder I am calling to priesthood which I would certainly oblige if I never hold marriage dearly.

To me, to be a priest is more than a lifelong commitment. It means that unless I can see the person right infront of me with great love and patience, I can't knee and say God I love you. To be a priest means to humble oneself as a servant rather than desiring for high positions.

There is only one who convinced me and that is the Lord himself who often bring poor people to me. Through these people, I am amazed by his love for this people.

I really torn between both and do you know god's plan for your life?

I believe God will reveal his plan for our lives when we are in a position to receive it. The gifts that God has blessed us with sometimes come through in our daily living . God will mold those gifts into a role that he had planned for us before we were born. Sadly many people never get to know him well enough to find that calling. For myself I have always loved to care for people. I began nursing school to fill this need I am not exactly sure if this will be my final calling as of yet. I continue to ask God to fill me with the wisdom to know his will. So far it has lead me to this. I don't believe God would give you the desire to marry if it was not suppose to be. I hope you find you calling. God Bless

You can serve God through marriage and being a priest - most Churches allow a priest to be married. Read the epistles of Paul to Timothy, Titus to find how a pastor for a Church should be -- it is difficult responsibility but with God everything is possible. Being a good Christian husband and father is just as important as being a priest -- as you serve God through these callings, and in any other way He would want you to.

Pray to Him and He will guide you.

God bless,
Andrew

God has a plan for our lives, yet we DO have unfastened will. it is the reason we finally end up with the themes we've in this international. Jeremiah 29:eleven-14 "For i comprehend the plans I fairly have for you,” publicizes the LORD, “plans to prosper you and to no longer harm you, plans to grant you desire and a destiny....." Jesus died for all and loves us all. he's saddened on the shown fact that some turn remote from Him. The Bible talks approximately His destroying those in the lake of hearth as His unusual act. with regard to the question of whether God takes a particular activity in some better than others, see the verses above. All of His believers have their reward and that's to be with Him perpetually. Persecution is each and every now and then in straight forward terms a factor of being a believer.

Since you're the one living your life, and not God or other people, then you should do what makes YOU happy and quit worrying about what others think. Why is your church against letting priests be married, anyway? Can't you minister to others AND be married? How would you give advice to married couples if you've never even been married? How would you help people with children if you've never raised children of your own? I don't get why it has to be either-or.

You're considering the priesthood, so I assume you're a Catholic.

Catholics typically discern their true destiny in Christ by their full and active participation in all of the work, worship, sacraments, and devotions of the church.

Random occurences might be telling you something, but it's the day in, day out stuff that confirms a vocation.

Sounds like it's time for you to decide to either fish or cut bait.

You can serve God and still have a family. You're Christian and I'm Muslim but the thing is whether you're a priest or not still means you have to humble yourself and be a servant. Just because you become a priest doesn't mean you're automatically humble.

You just need to pray and let God show you His plan for your life. I know it is difficult waiting. You can become a minister, missionary and still be married. I remember when I was a little girl and went to catholic school. I thought I had to be a nun. I prayed and cried out to God to let me be a mother. I am a mother and want to be a missionary when my children are on their own. When I first became a Christian I begged God not to make me a missionary, now it is my desire. Just pray, God will show you exactly what you need to do, in the meantime enjoy your life each and every day and dedicate it to Jesus.

You have to seek God with your heart and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you, lead you, and guide you, in the path God wants you to take you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt which way to go.

You describe yourself as 'torn between the two'. This is definitely not from God. You should know the manifestation of the spirit of God in your life - he brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control and faithfulness. You describe none of these.

hey bro, if you want to get married, it's a good thing.
Some people are called to be single, they have a unique gift of not wanting to get married, for example Paul,
whereas Peter was married.

It's not a sin to marry. One does not become more spiritual just because he or she is single. Spirituality has everything to do with one's level of commitment to Christ.

God bless, I'll say a prayer for you.
