I'm in a vicious cycle. How do I stop it? I lose like 3 pounds, then binge and gain it back. I HATE IT!! But I can't stop. I'm thinking maybe I'm addicted to food or something, 'cause I can't stop! Urgh, I hate it....any advice?? Please!

I usually eat cereal, oatmeal, egg, or something like that with fruit for breakfast. Then I have a small piece of fruit around 10:30, then for lunch I have some saltines w/ some lunch meat. And I usually have some sort of dessert after lunch. Then if I'm hungry around 3 I'll have something[whatever's around], then I'll have whatever my mom is serving for dinner.

your okay. you just need to relax. first off; if you are craving something (liike cake lets say) have that for dinner instead, but only binge at the most twice a month. and set a goal; say if i do not binge at all this month - i will reward myself (like mani pedi or w.e) just focus, keep a journal whatever is necessary because if you really want this you can do it!

don't go on a diet--- change your diet. Add more fruit and vegetables. Quit drinking soda and sugar rich drinks. Attempt to figure out how many calories you should be taking in a day vs how many you are burning. After you have a total cut it by 500 a day. When you reach your target weight raise your calories back up but don't go back to eating crap. Add 20 minutes of cardio exercise to each day. Throw in some resistance training for tone (light weight lifting). If you have more muscle you burn more calories. Every little bit helps.

nothing is wrong with you.
you binge because you dont "diet" wright - to lose fat you only have to create a slight deficit in daily caloric intake.
any diet you cant follow for the rest of your life will not work and result in fat gain.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You are probably on a diet that does not suit you.

Choose one that you like and stay on it.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and have lost 31 lbs. I am maintaining at 108lbs for more than a year by increasing my complex carbs and fruits, but staying on the same diet.

Details such as meals, recipes, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog

Try keeping a food journal. Record all the food you eat, the amounts you eat, and the time of day you eat it. Then you'll be able to see what's really going on, and by writing it down and reviewing it, you'll end up making better choices about about your intake.

Do not diet, just manage your intake., if you feel a craving for chocolate for example have a small bite size instead of a bar. Make yourself small portions and just regulate and keep a diary if you need to. You can do it, good luck.l

Eat breakfast , lunch , and dinner thats it! whenever your hungry grab a cold glass of water because it makes you feel fuller and it boosts your metabilism so it also is helping you burn calories. The coldness in the water will burn calories cause your body has to warm up =)
