Stress is hard, and when it is something we are dreading in the future our minds have a way of running it round and round.
Try to first stay busy and not think about it so much, when you do and the thoughts turn negative, say something positive out loud, yes that works, if you are thinking I will get home sick in bed, then say I will be so tired from the days fun I will fall right to sleep.

A couple times a day lay down and imagine you are there at camp, lying in bed at night and nothing bad is happening,
Be grateful when you get up because nothing bad happened, and really try to vision in your mind..

A favorite scent will help also you can put on your pillow, or pick out something new, the smell works, aroma therapy.

Have fun at camp and I hope all this helps, it really does work

I would go to school. You are stessed because you are overloaded with so many things going on. If you need to take a nap, take one, but only spend 20 minutes asleep. Go ahead, go to sleep at a reasonable time. Sometimes it is better to go to sleep early, and then wake up early. Don't cram for those test, either. Study 20 minutes each night, and you will have all the knowledge down for them. If you have to cram, don't study if you can't think straight, because you will NOT retain anything. As for your debate, pick an obscene point that you have read about/ heard about/ have sources for, and argue it. It will require a lot less studying, especially if no one else sees the point coming. If you go off of a quote by a famous person or reputable source, and then expand on it, you can quickly come up with arguments in favor of your side. Go to school, because in life, we can't skip what comes our way. Oppurtinity +Prepardness= Succes Go to sleep early, and don't stress too much. Think logically about things, and even tests you have NOT prepared for will be manageable (but still prepare for them, it really does help) Good luck on your debate. A good last resort comment for philosophy is: "If there is no designer (or God) in the world, then how can we trust our own thoughts?" Our thoughts must be completely random, and since we cannot trust our thoughts, this debate is founded on random ideas, because they came from random thoughts. Therefore, the winner must be random, which defeats the whole purpose of debating. LOL. Probably won't work. Philosophy is the search for truth in life. Remember, anything not proven to be true is an opinion, or a belief. Philosophy is to help find truth in beliefs. Good luck on your philosphy debate. And everything else. Have a great senior year!

Okay, so why is it that you are going to this camp in the first place if you are so stressed out?

Second, why is being away from home for 5 days stressing you out so much? Think of it as a nice vacation away from the same old stuff.

Hey, I'll trade you life stresses for 5 days! That camp sounds like what I really need!

I totaly understand but the only thing I can think of is for you to take deep breaths and close your eyes and think happy thoughts. If you have this problem a lot and you have time go to the Doctors and tell them they may have some better answers than I do. I will pray that you feel calm and that you remember that your family is not too far and your home will be there when you get back. Good luck.

Be sure to pack something of your mom or a picture of your whole family but preferably something like a throw off of the couch or mom & dads bed--so you'll have something of them with you. Secondly, take a notebook and pen with you and before you go to sleep at night write a letter to your family telling them how much you miss them but how much fun you are having. Tell them what you did that day, what kind of craft project you made, what you ate, everything....Then tell them how much you love them, miss them, and good night. But I have an idea that they may keep you so busy during the day that you won't have time to be too homesick at night--all you'll want is to go to sleep.
Good luck and have a LOT of fun at camp.

Stress is a result of resistance. Relaxation is a result of surrendering to what is.
