Nero7 is unable to read DVD-R or CD-R disk when I try to burn it, it is if the drive was not there. what 2 do?

Go to the website of the manufacturer of the burner and download the latest driver. You may even have to uninstall and reinstall Nero.

Are you sure the drive is a burner or just a DVD player. It is not easy to read it on the front. If it doesn't say burner, then it is a player.
