Have you actually read the Bible? Christians generally paint such a idealized view of God/Jehovah and Jesus. But if you read the Old Testament with open eyes you should end up appalled at Jehovah. It is inconceivable to me that a being capable of creating the universe could be so petty, callous and vengeful. He killed innocent children on multiple occasions. How is it that Christians believe that he is a perfect and loving God yet he treats innocent children so callously? Christians claim that the Bible is the source of our morals. I am nowhere near perfect, but I am more moral than Jehovah is depicted as being.
Fortunately, there is much evidence that the Bible is just myth, and no objective evidence that it is true. If you read it with the understanding that it was written by men 2500-3000 years ago based on the traditions and legends passed down by the ancient Hebrews, then the Bible makes perfect sense. The ancient Hebrews knew much less than we do today about the workings of the universe, and the stories in the Bible were what they came up with to explain their existence and given meaning to their lives. But today we have much more true knowledge about the universe, and we have a much better ability to create an ethical and moral society. We can do much better than the Bible.

Why would you not believe in Allah?
Why would you not believe in Zeus?
Why would you not believe in Ahura Mazda?
Why would you not believe in the Invisible Pink Unicorn?
Why would you not believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster?
There are thousands of gods you know aren't real - the only one you think is real is the one your parents told you was real. Coincidence?
Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

for one thing, the jesus story reaks of deceit... this is my take on it... your so called all powerful god claims... that a man died on the cross, and he brought him back 3 days after he died.... then your god said he's going to come back , so 3days 2000 yrs ago.... smells don't it? I mean how gullible are you people to not see it... I mean 2000 years is a very very long time..... what is he waiting for? the only explanation is there is no heaven, there is no life after death.... another hint about the deceit of heaven is this.... this god bombards you with laws and rules constantly... making you jump through hoops... turning you into virtual slaves.... now not only are you not getting paid,,, you pay him to keep you as slaves.... but in this heaven, it's going to be perfect, you are all majically going to be perfect.... no rules no tention just easy as you please.... you see it's a pipe dream, the reason it works for your god is that there is no life after death... you can't complain because there is no life.... you can't come back and warn others cause there is no life... even the people in hell haven't escaped.. and you know if there was a hell... some of them would be smart enough to come back..... so there is no life after death.... now we hear of something called prophecies.... about how the viel of blindness will fall about the devil being exposed... do you not notice the world changing around you... do you not see the peace movement not starting from christianity but starting from OBVIOUSLY NOT christianity, it began with hippies..... and with every change there is a christian movement seeking to block it.... people of all races, beleifs setting aside differences, men and women working together as equals... still you deny your on the wrong side... you have eyes you have ears, you seem to go to great lengths to not hear and to not see...

Why should I? Show him to me. And I don't mean using "I believe...", "I feel...", or "the Bible says...". I mean show me something resembling evidence that there is (1) A "God". and (2) That he impregnated a virgin, who then gave birth to a man-God. It's YOUR "God". It's YOUR belief. It has nothing to do with me.
Look...I can't for the life of me understand how people CAN believe that stuff. It certainly shouldn't be surprising that there are people who don't believe in a story presented to them that involves magical, invisible super-beings that live in magical lands in the sky. It makes no sense to us. It's a completely implausible story, and it has not one single scrap of evidence to back any of it up.

And why would I? Because it is written in the bible? Then why do you not believe that Zeus or Hercules really existed? There is probably more literature written about those two than there is for Jesus or god.

that might be the very question He asks of every non believer before his throne, come their own reconning.
The spagetti monster, fable for sure, but God stands on his own merit, mere man can not put a fire to the bible, and has yet to dissolve the fact that God loves all people.
Its the people that have the attitude.

Why would I?
Why would I beleive in Buddha, in Allah, in Zeus, etc.
A myth is a religion people no longer beleive in.
I belieive there might be a god, but he/she/it is undefinable.
Religion attempts to define the indefinite.
