After all, they do consider themselves lame ducks in the game of life and they're working hard to fulfill the prophecy. Why would we want them driving, breeding, running for office, or even walking around in public? Are they not a death cult akin to the one started, then ended by Jim Jones?

I sure as hell wouldn't want someone like Jones around my kids. What am I missing?

As Bill Hicks said (and I'm paraphrasing): Out there somewhere in a bunker is a Fundie with his finger poised over the red button controlling countless nuclear warheads, with his eyes rolled back in his head saying: Tell me when lord; tell me when.

The RaptureReady True Believers are really scary critters.
They're just as likely to take us out as themselves.

Anyone who believes IN the InvisibleSkyPixie DeathCult is a danger to society, potentially.
Whilst ever there are people who believe the InvisibleSkyPixie speaks to them or believe that the InvisibleSkyPixie can speak to anyone, such as BennyHinn, there are potential problems.

I think you don't understand what the Rapture is. You're criticizing something you lack knowledge about.

How do you know what I consider myself? I'm no lame duck - I have a power residing in me that, again, you do not understand.

What prophecy are we working to fulfill? Do you understand that prophecy will be fulfilled as God intends, regardless of what anyone does to hurry it or prevent it?

Jim Jones forced everyone on his compound to drink the koolaid. He was a fallible, deceived man who had nothing in common with the living Lord, Jesus the Christ. Your insinuation that there's a connection proves my initial statement: you don't know what you're talking about.

I believe in the rapture. When it happens is none of my business; even Jesus doesn't know when He'll be sent. Only the Father knows. You have no idea how many Christians who believe in the rapture pray that God holds back - because there is still a large segment of the world that has not heard about Jesus. It's called the 10/40 window.

You're missing the Truth.

Well, I'm a Christian and I believe in the Rapture. If you've ever heard the song "Live like you were dying" that's sort of the way Christians are told to live by Jesus. We are supposed to do everything we can to help others, spread the Gospel, and all around make the world a better place just like He did because we never know when he will come for us. I don't see how that makes us dangerous. I don't consider killing people because I believe I could be in heaven at any given time.

Definitely a danger if they are in positions of power.

Imagine not even trying to cure the ills of the world because it's going to end any day now anyhow.

I agree, it is scary. What reason do they have to be against war? - surely they could even be pro-war, pro-destruction of the environment & pollution....etc......

I have often wondered about this......

Imagine if enough world leaders believed in the rapture.......
